MTV Hired
MTV Hired is a new reality show on MTV which airs daily on 4pm (as always check your local listings). After watching their American Rebel PR and the Steven Madden episodes I was very impressed with the quality and education value of this show. I love quality reality show and this is why I tend to watch English TV, and a lot of it, to satisfy my hunger for some brain stimulation and inspiration. MTV Hired teaches the dos and don’ts when going for an interview and what it takes to stand out from the crowd and land your dream job. MTV Hired, finally a smart American realty TV.
If you haven’t watched MTV Hired the American Rebel PR episode you can watch it above. More episodes to watch out for are MTV Hired theBlam Cosmetics episode which will air tomorrow, Thursday June 3rd, 2010. And, MTV Hired Prive Salon on Monday June 7th, 2010.
Kaz Amor On MTV Hired
Kaz Amor the talented celebrity colorist & partner at the Warren-Tricomi Los Angeles salon who I met in LA backstage during LA Fashion Week and who I got to interview back in 2008 is on MTV Hired. Kaz is the sweetest guy. When we met he invited me to the Warren-Tricomi Melrose Place in West Hollywood location to color my hair the next morning.
Watch Kaz Amor on MTV Hired. Starting Tuesday June 1st, 2010, MTV Hired will air at 4pm daily.

In this interview Kaz talks about how he got into hair design, meeting Joel Warren on a flight and their partnership, working with Prince, and what it takes to maintain a long term success as a hair stylist.
Marta Walsh: When did your interest in hair design begin?
Kaz Amor: I was at a party for Julie Chrisy in London and my friend that took me there was a hairdresser. That was my first introduction to the world of hair.
theBalm Cosmetics Will Be Featured In “MTV Hired”
theBalm Cosmetics and its CEO/Founder, Marissa Shipman, will be featured in an upcoming episode of MTV’s latest docu-series, “MTV Hired”. theBalm is the only cosmetics company featured in the series and will show how young girls can break into the cosmetics industry.
On June 3rd, 2010, at 6:30 pm, the episode follows the cult-favorite beauty brand as they search for a new office assistant. In the callback interviews, the three final applicants are asked to pitch a new product idea to the staff of theBalm. Someone definitely impresses the staff while another leaves them a bit “shocked.”
