Here’s a recap: Main inspiration for the makeup look at Coventry Fall 2009 is fresh skin, inspired by the movie Legend from back in the day. Ultra beautiful women that been riding on the horse all day. These women have red cheeks from being outdoors in the cold. A little bit of color on their cheeks and mouth and they look absolutlry stunnig gorgeous.

MAC Lead Makeup Artist at Coventry Fall 2009, Gregory Arlt, wanted to use a palette of brown tones, keeping the eyes very simple, fresh and clean. Gregory wanted their lips to look sort of bitten.

The makeup look created by Gregory compliments the Coventry Fall 2009 collection that includes lots of  tweeds and knits. In terms of color, the Coventry collection includes lots of taupe, browns, black, and mauve.

To achieve this makeup look Gregory mixed three colors or blushes by MAC together for that perfect cheek color: Laid Back, Posy, and Lady Blush. He wanted to emulate the natural blood flowing in the cheeks of these women riding the horses in their estates. Most women who live in Scotland or in England blush with the red traveling down on their face beyond their cheeks a little. Just sexy and beautiful. The no makeup makeup!

Eyes: Eyes are very natural and soft, using neutral colors. Gregory used soft wheat brown color called: Era by MAC Cosmetics, a beautiful beige with silver undertones. It makes the eyes look dreamy, incredible, and amazing. Gregory’s mission was to make them the perfect versions of themselves!
