Christian Dior Couture Fall 2010

The inspiration for Christian Dior’s Couture Fall 2010 collection is clearly an exquisite bouquet of flowers. The style genius behind it all is non other John Galliano. I have picked my favorite dress from Galliano’s creations. I can just imagine a model wearing this Dior dress in a photo shoot set in Paris right after sunsets and the sky is just a swirls of deep blues, pinks, and purples. Apparently, part of his research involved studying real flowers, spending an hour watching the light change on a parrot tulip, for instance. Read full article in

Dita Von Teese at Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010

It goes like this: Christmas and the New Year and then it’s an Awards and Fashion Week season. Talking Makeup is ready for New York Fashion Week this February, but meanwhile we have Paris. Here’s Dita Von Teese all in black leather at the Christian Dior runway show as part of Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2010. I don’t really get Dita’s “shtick” (“Talent” or “Act” in Yiddish) nevertheless she always manges to look beautiful. I love the leather outfit, very different. Do YOU?
