Top Beauty Products For Halloween
Sometimes I don’t feel like going all out with a complete Halloween costume, and instead I just use one or two beauty products for a “costume” that hints that it’s Halloween. Here are my picks for the top Halloween beauty products from fake nails, fake eye lashes, and even how to remove all these special occasion makeup with products from Simple Skincare.
Black Nails: I like NARS Andy Warhol Back Room Nail Polish. It’s a black polish perfect for the darker and colder days. It’s a very mysterious polish just like Halloween… a bit edgy, yet elegant.
Instant Makeover Beauty Tips
You don’t have to win “American Idol” to experience an instant makeover. With some basic steps, you can too get a new look overnight with tons of compliments from friends to follow. Here’s my 2 cents on what you can do to start turning heads today.
SKINCARE
Moisturize your skin. It doesn’t matter if you’re in your 20s or 40s, the basic thing you need to keep your skin healthy and looking good is a great moisturizer. It doesn’t need to be fancy, ‘anti-aging’ or anything like that. It just needs to be kind to your skin and it needs to work well to keep your skin moist. I like to hydrate my skin with Simple Vital Vitamin Day Cream SPF 15. My sensitive skin loves it and I love the compliments… people think I have some kind of bigger beauty secret, and I don’t!
HAIR
Grow your hair long, get highlights or change your hair color… just do something different. Because contrast is an instant glam makeover, part your hair in the middle – side parting is nice, but not as edgy. Short hair screams average, and to look more like a star, think ‘bigger than life.’ Long hair is the way to go.
My Winter Skincare With Simple Skincare
I don’t mean to depress anyone, but fall and winter are coming up pretty fast… especially if you live in the East Coast. Believe it or not, where I live (Scottsdale, Arizona) also gets cold. We may not get snow, but we definitely get cold weather. That also means…
…in these very cold months my best word is: HYDRATION. My skin tends to get super dry and even kind of flaky when it’s cold. I like to keep my skin moisturized, and really that’s my biggest beauty secret. I basically switch to all the Simple Skincare products that read: ‘moisturizing,’ ‘rich moisture’, ‘soothing,’ and ‘replenishing’. All these words sound so appropriate to what my skin needs in the cold winter months.
Hottest Beauty Products For Fall
Fall is in the air. That means it’s going to get cooler soon. It also means that now I can play around with my favorite makeup and beauty products for this season.
NARS Andy Warhol Back Room Nail Polish, a black nail polish perfect for the darker and colder days, is a very mysterious polish… it’s a bit edgy, yet elegant.
NARS Andy Warhol Satellite of Love Highlighting comes from the house of NARS, the masters when it comes to blushes. To combat looking pale in the fall I like to fake it with this one.
Look Good, Feel Good
Each day, I try to recognize the parts of my life that make me feel good both inside and out. Today, I’m highlighting the top five things that make me happy, and as a result, make me look and feel great.
Skincare for the Best Makeup
Here are my very easy steps to prepare your skin for that perfect makeup look. Skincare and makeup are overlapping worlds. Getting the right balance of the two can make a huge difference in the way your makeup looks. Caring for your skin the right way and using the right beauty products for sensitive skin, like those from Simple skincare, can give you that wow factor.
1. Wash your face in warm water: whether you like to wash your face in the sink or in the shower like me warm water open up your pores and makes skin soft in an instant. And don’t wait for the water to dry out after you wet it. Apply a moisturizer like Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer, which moisturizes all day long, when your skin is still damp. I don’t towel dry my face. I keep it wet as I get dressed. Yes, you are learning more about me.
Beauty Business
For my all-day business look and to keep fresh through-out the day I have to have a good skincare routine from the morning. I’ve learned if for some reason I don’t get my skincare and makeup right from the start I know I won’t survive a whole day looking good or feeling good. I don’t skip any steps. I’m on the mission to get it very right.
To get my skin prepped I like to use beauty products for sensitive skin, such as Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub to gently remove dry skin. Then tone it with Simple Soothing Toner to leave sensitive skin feeling clean and refreshed. Followed by Simple Vital Vitamin Day Cream SPF 15 to moisturize and Simple Soothing Eye Balm to soothe and relax tired eyes…then on to makeup.
Hope Solo Joins Team Simple
I flew to New York City early last week for a very special event. On Tuesday, May 8th, 2012 at The London Hotel in New York City, I found out that Hope Solo Goalkeeper for the US Women’s National Soccer Team is now teaming up working with Simple skincare. I was among America’s top fashion & beauty bloggers at The London Hotel to interview Hope and to also hear her speak about her experience joining team Simple. Stay Hydrated
My favorite drink in the world is no doubt water. It’s what really quenches my thirst, tastes good, and is good for my soul and skin. I try drinking water throughout the day as much as I can and if I skip sometimes when I’m too busy or when traveling I immediately notice the difference in my skin. My skin and lips get dry and uncomfortable and overall my energy level goes down. I even break out and my skin gets super sensitive. To avoid dehydration I simply look after myself, with a good diet, lots of water, and of course the right skincare.
The following simple skincare products help my skin stay hydrated, soothed and glowing. I use Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash in the shower, which moisturizes and cleanses my skin. This is a very gentle cleanser perfect for the days you want to give your skin a break from exfoliating.
Prep for the Perfect Smoky Eye
I’m a smoky eye addict and the only thing that can remove it by the end of the day is the Simple Eye Make-up Remover. I must admit that I wear smoky eye everyday all day, weekdays and weekends (I wasn’t joking I’m an addict). I love how smoky eye brings out my eyes and I feel powerless without it:) But I always get compliments despite what you might think that smoky eye can be harsh on the eyes, my skin looks great most days, that’s because of my routine using beauty products for sensitive skin.
