Estée Lauder Celebrates 60 Years of Youth Dew
Bit of nostalgia. The First American Scent to Revolutionize an Industry Celebrates 60 Years with New Limited-Edition Bottle. “I created Youth-Dew as the first bath oil to double as a skin perfume. I knew that would appeal to women. And it suits my ‘philosophy’ of fragrance, as well: magnificent scents should not be doled out stingily, but like love, be given abundantly.” — Estée Lauder
In 1953, Estée Lauder’s introduction of Youth-Dew bath oil took the fragrance industry by storm – heralding revolutionary changes that continue to resonate today. Often described as one of the sexiest fragrances ever created, this voluptuously provocative Oriental fragrance was a true departure from the norm of the day. It re- wrote the way in which perfumers created and distributed their fragrances and forever altered how women perceived, acquired and enjoyed scent.
Mythic Oil by L’Oreal Proffessionel
I was recently just introduced to the Mythic Oil by L’Oreal Proffessionel by Jay Olson at Inizio Salon at Scottsdale Arizona. Oil typically has some negative association such as: heavy, greasy, weighted down hair. For some reason Mythic Oil feels super light and almost dry, sounds like an oxymoron by true. It smells good too. I apply to the ends where my hair is fry the most and not to roots, I use a little bit throughout my blow dry where needed. Try it, you might like it:)
Bianca Balti for Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Campaign
The advertising campaign for Dolce&Gabbana’s Light Blue fragrances returns with Italian model Bianca Balti cast as the classic Mediterranean beauty. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana: “Bianca has been featured in many Dolce&Gabbana campaigns, but to see her with David Gandy brings a renewed, relaxed energy to Light Blue. Together, their eyes match the colour of the water, that beautiful endless blue that is the Mediterranean surrounding Capri. Watching it is to dream of plunging into that refreshing sea and feel the sun on the skin, to feel totally free, relaxed and at peace.”
Balti drives the commercial’s breathtaking new storyline in the third episode of the Light Blue campaign, a story that has become iconic since its debut in 2007.
Taylor Swift At The 2013 Brit Awards
Wow. Best red carpet look for Taylor Swift. Fantastic black & chic gown by Elie Saab which I would wear in a hearth beat. Taylor’s hair also is a good look. Well done, who ever styled her.
Hourglass at the La Perla fall 2013 Presentation
SNEAK PEEK TO…beauty looks created by makeup artist Moani Lee for Hourglass at the La Perla fall 2013 presentation. The collection, which featured lace, tulle and silk designs, was unveiled on Thursday, February 7 at The Gallery at Dream Downtown in New York. La Perla designer Giovanni Bianchi looked to Spain for inspiration, specifically the moody color palette of painter Francisco Goya, and the embellished livery of bullfighters. “I wanted to capture the sensuality and the strength of the woman wearing this decadent lingerie,” says Lee, who focused on elegant brows, radiant skin and dramatic lips worthy of an Almodóvar heroine.

Dolce&Gabbana fragrance: Desire by Dolce&Gabbana
The newest Dolce&Gabbana fragrance: Desire by Dolce&Gabbana. This intensely feminine and seductive fragrance evokes power, temptation and mystery. The Dolce&Gabbana woman lives by her powerful emotions and in this new chapter of fragrance, she lives confident, strong and sensual. The packaging is matte gold and black and is inscribed with Stefano Gabbana’s elegant handwriting of Desire in gold lettering.-(via Dolce&Gabbana) . My take: I have tried it and it’s pretty good and sexy yet not overpowering.
“Everything starts with desire. There wouldn’t be seduction, sensuality or passion if it wasn’t for desire. For us, it’s always been fundamental to let this sensation go, to break the mold and live freely by emotions.”-Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana

EMILY BLUNT
In a gilded dress by Michael Kors, Emily Blunt more than lived up to her reputation as a Hollywood golden girl. The actress, nominated in the Best actress, Musical or Comedy category for Salmon Fishing In The Yemen, “definitely had something in mind as far as the look,” says makeup artist Jenn Streicher. “Emily wanted smoky eyes paired with soft pink lips that echoed her Lorraine Schwartz ruby earrings.”
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder
I’m all about Hourglass Cosmetics these days. What I like about it is that they take out a lot of the ingredients that bother me sometime in cosmetics, such as: oil, parabens, petroleum lanolin, etc. They are innovative and of course fashion forward. Here’s their latest: the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder.
Ambient Lighting Powder, a groundbreaking collection of finishing powders that emulate different lighting effects, from ethereal moonlight to luminous candlelight. This is not your mother’s finishing powder. Unlike traditional powders that merely sit on the skin, Ambient uses “photoluminescent technology” that refracts light, creates transparent coverage and renders the skin gorgeously radiant. There are six universal powders available and each has a corresponding lighting effect. Choose one or more and then step into the light. It’s the equivalent of having a personal lighting technician at your disposal. Paraben, talc, fragrance, nano-particles and gluten free.
