London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2009 : MAC Makeup Looks

Here are some of the MAC Cosmetics makeup look for London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2009:

DESIGNER: Giles
ARTIST: Miranda Joyce

“The collection is quite structured so I wanted the look a bit undone-that’s why we purposely smudged the lip a little bit. It’s a true bright matt-ish red but patted on so you get this soft, sexy, mouth.”-Miranda Joyce.

Eyes: Clear brow set-combed through brows. Plushblack Plushlash mascara-applied lightly to top lashes.

Skin: Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation-blended into the skin. Prep+Prime Loose-Applied to set foundation. Luna Cream Colour Base-Blended as a sheer highlight onto the inner corners of the eyes, bridge of nose, forehead and wrapped around tops of cheek bones to accentuate the nudity of the face.

Lips: Ruby Woo and Lady Danger Lipsticks-Blended together and patted repeatedly onto the lips to create a soft round shape. Edges of the lips were smudged just before the girls walked down the runway.

DESIGNER: Nathan Jenden Look 2
ARTIST: Makky

“The look is inspired by a photograph of Grace Jones.” – Makky

Eyes: Smolder eye kohl – applied in an opaque layer over lid and the top and bottom lashlines to create an almond shape around the eye. The smolder was then buffed out with a soft brush to diffuse the edges of the shape. Carbon eye shadow – blended over the smolder pencil to set the look. Pro Lash in coal black – applied to top and bottom lashes.

Skin: Studio sculpt SPF 15 foundation – applied in shades matching or slightly paler than natural skin tone.
prep + prime transparent powder – dusted down the center of the face only preserving the young sheen on the rest of the face.

Lips: Cherry lip pencil used to create a full lip with rounded bow. A combination of crimson and orange lip mix were then layered over the pencil for an opaque lip.

DESIGNER: Nicole Farhi
ARTIST: Val Garland

“The look is irreverant innocence, 1940’s, beautiful dewey skin and a sinful mouth.” – Val Garland

Eyes: Pro Gloss in copper walnut with a touch of red reflects glitter – blended from lid to brow, patted across the eyes with fingers and wrapped down around to the tops of the cheek bones.

Skin: Moistureblend Foundation – applied with fingers only where needed.

Lips: MAC Pro Lipsticks in dark purple and sin – pressed onto lips with fingers for a dark stain with hazy edges.

DESIGNER: House Of Holland
ARTIST: Lucia Pica

“She’s a polished sophisticated woman, a classic femme fatale .”-Lucia Pica

Eyes: Black Black and White Chromaline – mixed together and blended over a layer of Vaseline in a round 1920’s shape over the eyelids creating a sheer gray wash of colour. Clear Lipglass – under the inner corners of the eyes.

Skin: MAC Pro Mixing Medium – massaged into the skin for a polished glow. Invisible set powder – applied to the t-zone to reduce shine. Sculpt and Shape in Sculpt – low on cheekbones to create
a strong shadow.

Lips: Cyber Lipstick – applied with a brush for a precise 1920’s lip. Crimson lip mix – patted over the first layer to create a more reddish purple.
