INSPIRATION: “I kept looking back to a moment with my grandmother in a department store. There was a gumball machine that I wanted, but the only one left was housed in a box that was a bit damaged. The idea of something slightly distressed, but still beautiful intrigued me, ” said designer Giovanna Randall. “The colors are warm – there’s a 70s sensibility but in an American sportswear way.”

Napoleon Perdis at What Goes Around Comes Around Fall 2011
New York Fashion Week Report. Fashionistas gathered at New York City’s Soho Grand, February 9th, 2011, to view a selective runway presentation showcasing the What Goes Around Comes Around collection for Fall 2011. The collection, with its obvious bohemian influence, channeled a “gypsy jetter.” Using his Auto Pilot Pre Foundation Primer ($39 at NapoleonPerdis.com) to perfect model’s faces, Napoleon Perdis added a smoky eye to create makeup looks inspired by the sixties with a timeless twist. CND’s Co-Founder Jan Arnold and Nail Professionals Angi Wingle, Wanda Ruiz, Kristina Estabrooks, and Roxanne Valinoti are celebrating 15 years of CND at Fashion Week by collaborating with 21 designers this season for runway manicure expertise. Today’s looks were grown-up grunge, chocolate velvet, and textured tough:
For Jenni Kayne, Angi Wingle created a blushing taupe manicure using one coat of nude opaque Desert Suede, layered with Copper Shimmer, washed out with a coat of semi-sheer patina Rose Water and topped with Super Matte. This grown-up grunge nail accentuated poppy magenta lips and stick-straight locks.

Born out of a love for collecting beautiful things from all over the world, Theodora & Callum is an accessories- based line featuring scarves, jewelry, shoes and bags inspired by their travels. Drawing inspiration from Morocco, Bali, Turkey, India and the Mediterranean as well as the bon vivant mentality of the late 60’s and early 70’s European jet-set, each style feels as if it has been discovered in a far-off locale.
