MAKE UP FOR EVER ALLIANCE artist, Lottie (www.makeupforever-alliance.com), served as key make up artist for the Thuy Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The make up look was sophisticated and chic to complement but not overpower the feminine clothing which had splashes of color.

Inspiration: “The clothes are light so I wanted the makeup to have a little more impact this time – as if the girls were beautiful, cool fairies,” said designer Thakoon. “I wanted the whole aura to feel like opening windows and letting in a breeze- fresh and romantic but tempered at the same time.”
The Makeup Look: “Golden, but not tanned. As if the girls are glowing from within… with, of course, confidence,” said lead artist Diane Kendal.

Victoria Beckham presented her spring 2011 collection of supremely feminine and beautifully constructed dresses today. Vivid colors, from mandarin yellow to cotton candy pink, punctuated the collection, and exposed zippers, gentle draping and tucked and pleated details on parachute silk, jersey and lamé lent the collection that signature Victoria Beckham style.

New York Fashion Week SS 2011. Show: Victoria Beckham Spring Summer 2011. Didier Malige, lead stylist for Frédéric Fekkai, was inspired by hairstyles of the 60’s—without the tease—for the Spring 2011 Victoria Beckham show.
To create the look, Malige first prepped dry hair with Fekkai Advanced Full Volume Styling Whip to give hair slick volume. Then, Malige created a middle part and tucked the hair straight behind the ears and spritzed with Fekkai Sheer Hold Spray to make the hair more straight and heavy. He finished the look by using a waiving tool to make an unexpected single crimp across the back of the hair. The result was a modern take on a mod era.

New York Fashion Week SS 2011. Aveda lead stylist Odile Gilbert created an elegant, spontaneous updo at the SUNO Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Week presentation in New York.
“The SUNO hair look for this season is elegant and sophisticated. The unstructured back is a touch of naivety against the glamorous style in front. The sides are slicked back and the top is voluminous — both are almost wet with shine — creating gorgeous variety of textures. Saks Fifth Avenue celebrated Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) in style last night, Friday September 10, 2010– with Claire Danes, Diane Kruger, Ed Westwk, Jessica Szohr and designers Viktor & Rolf, Donna Karan, Zac Posen!

Saks Fifth Avenue hosted thousands of customers at last night’s Fashion’s Night Out celebration. Customers were able to meet designers, play games with celebrities and super models and shop the latest looks for fall, all while enjoying cosmetic giveaways, mini-makeovers and expert styling advice. In just a few hours, the store completely sold out of Fashion’s Night Out t-shirts. Sales of the t-shirts benefit the NYC Aids Fund.
