CBS.com announced today a special live one-hour webcast of FASHION’S NIGHT OUT: THE SHOW, the largest public fashion show in New York City history, hosted by Vogue Editor-at-Large André Leon Talley and influential fashion blogger and model Hanneli Mustaparta, Tuesday, Sept. 7 beginning at 7:00 PM, ET.

Carolina Herrera Receives “Mercedes-Benz Presents” Designer Title
Carolina Herrera known for her sophisticated design and elegance receives the distinguished title of “Mercedes-Benz Presents” designer for this season’s spring/summer 2011 collection debuting on Monday, September 13th, 2010, at 10:00 am at Lincoln Center, the new home of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
The “Mercedes-Benz Presents” program recognizes designers that demonstrate dedication to the use of quality materials, unique style and innovative design for the past seven years. “I am very proud to be chosen as the “Mercedes-Benz Presents” designer,” said Herrera. “To be recognized in such an important year in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week history, is, without question, a wonderful honor.”
Carolina Herrera has designed for many celebrities and high profile clients including Renée Zellweger, Amy Adams, Michelle Pfeiffer, Emily Blunt, Oprah Winfrey, and Camilla Belle. She joins a prestigious list of past “Mercedes-Benz Presents” designers including Monique Lhuillier, Badgley Mischka, Narciso Rodriguez, and CHADO Ralph Rucci.

According to globalgrind.com: E! Online exclusively reveals that Kimora Lee Simmons is moving on from Baby Phat and Phat Fashions, the fashion house she launched 14 years ago. Kimora and Baby Phat’s parent company, Kellwood Company, will go their separate ways as of Sept. 1, 2010. “After 14 years of conceiving and nurturing Baby Phat, it’s time for me to move on and further expand my other businesses and create a new phenomenon,” Simmons says. “I adore all those who have faithfully been with me since the beginning.

Accessories Council’s 15th Anniversary: Accessories Council recently celebrated their 15th Anniversary with a Picnic in the Park! In honor of the celebration, celebrities and fashion designers created one-of-a-kind picnic baskets for a silent auction, and the proceeds all went to a charity of each designer’s choice. Fashion Icon and home designer Iman designed a unique picnic basket using fabrics from her IMAN Home Collection. You can still bid on the basket here until August 23rd, 2010!
