Lancôme Celebrates Mario Testino’s Todo O Nada

On Monday night, September 20th, 2010, legendary lensman Mario Testino celebrated the launch of his latest exhibition, “Todo O Nada,” at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid.

The exhibition, sponsored exclusively by Lancôme, features more than fifty photographs, shot between the mid-1990’s and present day, of iconic women in various modes, from high-fashion stylings to sensual nudes. The idea, said Testino, was to capture the emotions that inspire his work. “I start the exhibit with the process of how you can decorate somebody and then take it all off to discover another sort of beauty, maybe even more powerful,” he said.

“The Rodarte hair look for this season is young and innocent. The body is full of natural-looking texture, the ends are straight, and a strong, swooping side part gives the hair a retro feel. The look is inspired by teenagers in the 1970’s, so the effect is very organic, adorned with handcrafted tree branch and leaf barrettes that make a statement.”–Odile Gilbert for Aveda

The Makeup Look, Inspiration & How to:

The makeup look for the Spring 2011 Vera Wang Collection was inspired by the glamorous and candlelit nuances found in the movie In The Mood For Love. The goal was to create a soft, romantic look that made a breathtaking impact. “The key to this ethereal look is the play on light and reflection and the striking radiance that results from both,” says Lucia. “There is minimal color involved, but the overall metallic effect makes this look both wearable and highly fashionable at the same time.”
