Sandy Linter Dishes on Lancôme’s Summer Makeup
The holiday weekend is right around the corner, which means it’s time to think about your heat-proof makeup essentials. We all were just as curious about what to pack in our makeup bag, so Lancôme rang celebrity makeup artist Sandy Linter—also Lancôme’s Beauty At Every Age Expert—for her makeup must-haves.
Here’s the scoop: “The new Ageless Minérale Blush delivers the thinnest, sheerest amount of color to the skin. It’s a powder, so it looks great in the summer but it’s soft and sheer enough for all ages.”
Lancôme Captures Two CEW Awards
Talking Makeup had just learned that Lancôme’s Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate (Which happens to be Marta Walsh’s very favorite! I love the eye cream version as well) and Ôscillation Powerbooster just received a 2010 Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Beauty Insider’s Choice Award in the Anti-Aging Prestige and Eye Product categories. These awards are held each year and winners are determined by members who vote on the industry’s top products that have been deemed the most innovative in their cosmetic category.

Lancôme makeup artist Ewa Szwed created supermodel Lily Aldridge’s look for the 2010 Met Ball. Lily wanted a very simple, clean look. Ewa applied Lancôme Effacernes Concealer as needed around the eyes and set the complexion with Lancôme Ageless Minérale Powder in Translucent.
Elettra Wiedemann at the 2010 MET Ball
Lancôme spokesmodel Elettra Wiedemann was a vision in crimson at last night’s Met Ball. Makeup artist Ewa Szwed paired Elettra’s gorgeous Marni gown with a striking red lip.
To create a subtle smoky eye, Ewa smudged Lancôme Ink Artliner in Sparkling Noir (available Fall 2010) along the upper and lower lash line and then applied Lancôme Le Stylo Waterproof in Noir to the waterline. Lancôme Color Design Eyeshadow in Backstage Pass and Garment were mixed together and swept over the liner.
Anne Hathaway at the 2010 MET Ball
Celebrity makeup artist Gina Brooke gave Anne Hathaway her elegant, timeless look at last night’s Met Costume Institute Gala. Read on to get the details on what Gina used.
Makeup How To:
First, she shaped and defined Anne’s brows using Lancôme Le Crayon Poudre in Brunet. Then she applied Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony along the lash line and blended with a sponge tip to get rid of any hard edges.
Chloë Sevigny at the 2010 Met Ball
Lancôme and Chloë Sevigny at the 2010 Met Ball. Chloë walked the red carpet in a teal lace frock by Proenza Schouler at last night’s Met Ball. Makeup artist Daniel Martin, who did the makeup honors, filled us in on her look. “We amped up Chloë’s lashes with tons of Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Mascara in Excessive Black.”
For her lips, Daniel applied the cult favorite Pout-à-Porter Le Rouge Absolu lipstick in Proenza Pink. The bubblegum pink shade was first seen on the Proenza runway in Spring 2007 and sold out in two weeks. The last piece sold on eBay for $122.50. Daniel loved how it completed Chloë’s “raver school girl look.”
