L’Wren Scott Fall 2012
The beauty look for L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2012 collection was inspired by Theda Bara, an actress from the early 1900’s known for her femme fatale roles. She also famously coined the term “vamp.” Makeup by Lancôme’s Artistic Director for Makeup Aaron De Mey.

L’Wren Scott Spring 2012
Lancôme’s Artistic Director for Makeup Aaron De Mey wanted to create a “super bronzed” complexion with chocolate eyes and soft bronze lips. For the eyes, he applied dark brown eyeliner to the upper and lower lash line and into the crease and blended away any edges.

NEW YORK—A L’Wren Scott presentation engulfs the senses with its detailed touches and luxe fabrics—and the Fall 2011 collection was no exception. A lineup of jewel tones—mauve, teal and bordeaux—often layered with each other, were followed by a series of black numbers. The fabrics were just as lush, with plenty of beading and embroidery.

“Elegance is refusal.”-Diana Vreeland. This simple quote perfectly summed up the L’Wren Scott Fall 2009 show, for which Aaron De Mey, Lancôme’s artistic director for makeup, was the lead artist. Instead of hundreds of guests, a jammed backstage and models wearing layers of bright clothes and accessories, everything was calm-and as chic as could be. Only a few dozen guests were invited to attend the show, held at the all-white Gagosian Gallery in New York’s Chelsea art district. The atmosphere, and the clothes, were all about a sultry minimalism, sexy rather than spartan.
