Lancôme Ôscillation Vibrating Powermascara Captures CEW Award!

Lancôme’s Ôscillation Vibrating Powermascara received a 2009 Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Beauty Insider’s Choice Award this past Friday in the Prestige Makeup Eye Product category.

The CEW Beauty Insider’s Choice Awards are held each year and winners are determined by members who vote on the industry’s top products that have been deemed the most innovative in their cosmetic category.

About Lancôme Ôscillation Vibrating Powermascara: Ôscillation, the brand’s first vibrating mascara, is a battery-operated mascara that mimics and perfects the zig-zag motion many women and makeup artists use to apply mascara. The vibrations, or micro-oscillations as they are called, are barely perceptible when holding the wand and feel like a subtle massaging motion when held against the lashes. The wand produces 7,000 micro-oscillations per second. This buzz-worthy product generated waiting lists of over 30,000 beauty arbiters before its launch and remains a best-seller today.

America Ferrera Wears Lancôme at 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards

America Ferrera wears Lancôme at 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards: Celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali created the look for America Ferrera at the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday night. Talking Makeup got the scoop, straight from Lancôme & Vanessa, on how to re-create America’s glamorous look.

How to get America Ferrera’s Makeup Look at 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards:

First, before applying any makeup, Vanessa prepped the skin with Lancôme Genifique, a youth activating concentrate that improves tone, texture and luminosity giving the skin a natural glow.

To create a flawless complexion, Vanessa used both Lancôme Effacernes concealer and Armani Lasting Silk UV SPF 20 Foundation.

Vanessa used Armani Fluid Sheer #2 as a highlighter and applied it with her finger to the cheekbone and brow bone. This gave the complexion a bit of added shimmer.

“Elegance is refusal.”-Diana Vreeland. This simple quote perfectly summed up the L’Wren Scott Fall 2009 show, for which Aaron De Mey, Lancôme’s artistic director for makeup, was the lead artist. Instead of hundreds of guests, a jammed backstage and models wearing layers of bright clothes and accessories, everything was calm-and as chic as could be. Only a few dozen guests were invited to attend the show, held at the all-white Gagosian Gallery in New York’s Chelsea art district. The atmosphere, and the clothes, were all about a sultry minimalism, sexy rather than spartan.

Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway & Angelina Jolie Wear Lancôme for Oscars 2009

Lancôme graced the faces of three Best Actress nominees: Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway and Angelina Jolie.

Kate Winslet looked beautiful in a multi-toned one shoulder YSL dress. Celebrity makeup artist Jillian Dempsey wanted to create a classic, natural look.

First, Jillian Dempsey prepped Kate’s skin with Lancôme La Base Pro primer to create a smooth canvas for a polished complexion. She lightly brushed Lancôme Brow Expert in Naturel on the brows to play up their natural shape. Jillian Dempsey for Avon Pro Eyeshadow Trio in Ice Shimmer was applied to the eyes and the lashes were coated with Jillian Dempsey for Avon Pro Mascara in Black. To create a sheer, neutral colored lip, Lancôme Color Fever Lipstick in Old Flame was applied for a soft, matte finish.

Anne Hathaway looked regal in a sparkling jewel encrusted Armani Privé gown. Her makeup look was sophisticated and elegant.
