IMAN at the 2010 MET Ball
Last night, celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine created a beautiful “Modern 30’s Glam” look for supermodel IMAN. Below, Sam shares the product he used to create this iconic look.
SKIN: Every look that walks the red carpet begins with flawless skin. I start by using Iman’s Second to None Luxury Radiance Liquid Makeup Enriched with Minerals (in shade 2) to highlight and conceal the under eye area. Then I uses Iman’s Second to None Stick Foundation in the same shade to achieve a flawless complexion that not only looks great on the red carpet, but lasts though the night!

Jeannia prepped Lily’s skin with CHANEL Sublimage Fluid. She wanted to keep the skin dewy and fresh, so as a base she used CHANEL Hydramax + Active Tinted Moisturizer in Sand. On her lids, she blended the deep brown and silver powder shades from the CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Mystic Eyes.

For the make up we felt like a light eye and bright lip would complement the look. With her fair complexion, blue eyes and blonde hair, it is my favorite look on her. We did not want to make it look retro.”

She used shades of blue and grey from the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Bleu Celeste all the way up into the eyebrow and toward the hairline as a bold singular statement. Her lips were totally nude but hydrated with CHANEL Rouge Allure in Mythic and the cheeks were sculpted with CHANEL Moisturizing Bronzing Powder in Terre Ambre – no blush colour.

Fulvia prepped Emma’s skin with CHANEL Sublimage Serum. As a base, she applied CHANEL Teinte Innocence in Beige, topped with a bit of CHANEL Natural Finish Loose Powder in Clair. On the eyes, Fulvia used a new eye shadow palette from the Fall collection, available in July; CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Enigma.

How To Get The Look: Makeup Tutorial
1. Line the top and bottom lids with Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner in Black to give it an ‘edgier’ look.
2. Apply Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow in Sultry Smoke to lids for the smokey eye effect.
3. Perfect the look by rimming the inner, upper lids with Revlon Luxurious Color Eyeliner in Black.

Smokey Eyes Makeup Tutorial
Talking Makeup is pleased to present a Smokey Eyes makeup tutorial by the lovely Lois Price who is a student at Staffordshire University in England. I love my UK friends, you know:)
WATCH: Lois giving you tips on how to create a smokey eye look without breaking the bank! “Have fun with it and create similar looks!!” says Lois.
1. Firstly moisture your face and allow it to soak in, then apply a thin layer of foundation onto your face including eye lids- this will help the eye shadow stick and stay on longer
2. Apply a line of eyeliner to the bottom of your eyes to create definition.
3. Next apply the grey shadow to your eyelids- apply as much as you want.
