The Summer 2011 Collection, created by Founder & Creative Director François Nars, boasts bright colors reminiscent of the tropics. Marta Walsh has the sneak peek to Katy Perry’s photo shoot for the new multimedia global ghd campaign. The first shoot was creatively conceived with ghd, Perry’s stylist Johnny Wujek and shot by world renowned photographer- David La Chapelle.

Love to the Fullest by Reese Witherspoon Eau de Toilette Spray for Avon is a sensual or should I say warm blend of black cherry and evening primrose mingled with sandstone and cashmeran. It’s an Oriental first mixed with a bit of floral notes. That is, the warm and oriental notes are the dominant makeup of this fragrance. A plus for me because I’m an oriental warm type of perfume girl myself. The bottle is somewhat understated which actually is balanced well with this bolder scent. REDBOOK’s Editor in Chief Jill Herzig and Publisher Mary Morgan hosted an event at the Sunset Tower Hotel in LA on April 11t, 2011, to toast May 2011’s cover stars – the SIX Kardashian women and baby Mason! BTW-REDBOOK’s May issue is on newsstands now. May marked REDBOOK’s first-ever family issue, featuring the ladies of Hollywood’s most “beloved” family. This week my skin had a disco party LOL. Starting with my very satisfying fillers at Dr Bracci’s office in New York City aka Verve Medical Cosmetics where now I look 7 years younger all the way to a Triple Oxygen Treatment at the bliss Spa (which BTW is their most popular facial) at the W Hotel Scottsdale Arizona. “What did I do to deserve this?” is all I can say. Let’s go back to bliss. Talking about a sweet escape, my face was cleansed, exfoliated, hydrated, oxygenated, my legs massaged, hands/arms massaged, upper back massaged, scalp massage, you get the story. A complete heaven or should I say: bliss.

Anne Hathaway AT The Rio Premiere In Los Angeles
NARS worked with Anne Hathaway’s makeup artist Molly Stern for the premiere of her film Rio in Los Angeles. Creating a look to coincide with her chic frames and purple “rock ‘n roll” dress, Molly played up her eyes and kept her lips nude with the help of new Summer 2011 products Bolero Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, and Mayflower Lipstick.
“The new Bolero Velvet Matte Lip Pencil is the perfect apricot nude, with a dash of baby pink,” said Molly about Anne’s lip color. “We wanted to keep it balanced, but fun and fresh. We were listening to Patti Smith while getting ready – so we incorporated a bit of a rock ‘n roll edge!”

Greta Gerwig At The World Premiere of Arthur In NYC
Greta Gerwig, decked out in NARS, attended the world premiere of her film Arthur in NYC, April 5h, 2011.
Makeup artist Daniel Martin used the new NARS Wonder Lip Gloss (available for Summer 2011!) to achieve her “quintessential cool-girl look,” by pairing it with NARS Heat Wave Lipstick. “I thought back to the 90s, and to Caroline Bessette. She always looked effortless, with minimal makeup but a bright red lip,” said Daniel about the inspiration behind the look. “The key for Greta’s look was to modernize that idea by creating a bright orange lip in a glossy texture, while playing up her skin.”
