Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner
The Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner is worth all the raving! The best drugstore cleansing conditioner, it has Zero percent sulfates, parabens and colorants. It rivals professional shampoos. It’s makes my hair super soft in an instant, it doesn’t leave it stripped-out. I have very highlighted hair and I’ve tried everything…and what a surprise. It has an amazing calming scent of herbal mint fusion. Can’t beat the price!

Celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell and celebrity makeup artist Lottie worked with January Jones for the 2nd Annual Rebel With a Cause Gala at the Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday, March 20th.
MAKEUP ARTIST LOTTIE
BEAUTY INSPIRATION:
“January was wearing black and white stripes, so we wanted to add a pop of color. The red lip also matched her amazingly cute Jimmy Choo bag which was mirrored with red lips on it!”
HOW TO GET THE LOOK:
“I prepped January’s skin with Caudalie Beauty Elixir and Moisturizing Sorbet.
For a base, I used Tom Ford Beauty Traceless Foundation, and CHANEL Translucent Powder.
On January’s eyes, I used Tom Ford Beauty Eye Color Quad in Cocoa Mirage to define the crease then added a winged line in black using MAC Chromaline, then finished the look with CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir.
For contour, I applied Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow Palette and finished with Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in Ecstasy.
On her lips was my trusty and now discontinued favorite red lip liner by Stila #25 (try MAC Lip Liner in Cherry as an alternative), and Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso.
HAIRSTYLIST GREGORY RUSSELL
BEAUTY INSPIRATION:
“January and I were inspired by Debbie Harry’s undone texture and attitude for her hair last night, to give some contrast to the structured look and classic makeup.”

Lena Headey At The The Game of Thrones premiere
The Game of Thrones premiere is minutes away from starting and Dove’s celebrity stylist Mark Townsend styled the tresses of the lovely Lena Headey for the red carpet premiere this evening in New York. Be sure to check out Mark’s Instagram (@MarkTownsend1) for a behind-the-scenes look.
“For the Game of Thrones premiere it was all about relaxed glamour for Lena Headey. I loved her Jenny Packham dress and felt it was very pretty yet edgy so I wanted her hair to have the same feeling.” – Mark Townsend
The look was easily created using two Dove Hair products:
1) Dove Oxygen Moisture Leave In Foam to give a natural voluminous wave
2) Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Treatment to make the hair supple and reflective
See below for how to get the look in three easy steps:
1. I started by applying a large dollop of Dove Oxygen Moisture Leave In Foam to her damp hair and scrunched it dry with my hands and the diffuser on the blowdryer. I love keeping as much of Lena’s natural wave in the hair and this foam doesn’t weigh the hair down or get crunchy and it gives the hair tons of volume.
2. Next, I gave her a deep side part and sprayed Sally Hershberger salon Texture Blast Spray all over to give the hair great texture and light hold and then braided one side of the hair and laid the braid on top of the hair at the back and then tucked the end if the braid under the hair. I think the braid sitting on top of that heavily textured bob that makes this look so modern and fresh.
3. I finished by taking a few drops of the Dove Dry Oil Nourishing Treatment through her hair for lots of shine.
How To Get Kim Kardashian’s Brown Hair Color
Tracey Cunningham is a top celebrity colorist and the owner of Meche Salon in Los Angeles. Tracey is also an inspiration on how you can take any profession to the next level and to just always think big. How many times do you see hair colorists just use one hair color all over and you get that very dull lifeless color. Well Tracey proves that to be a hair colorist is to be an artist. I had the luxury to get the scoop straight from Tracey Cunningham on how she she brought Kim back to brunette and gave Lily Aldridge her glossy locks.
KIM KARDASHIAN:
How To Get Kim Kardashian’s Hair Color
“Bringing Kim back to brunette was something I wanted to do little by little, so that we made sure to keep her dimension and not end up all over one color or inky. Also so that we could evaluate the color each time and make sure it never went too dark too fast. Another benefit to the step by step approach is that this way, the end result would last longer. So the first time she came in to go darker I low lighted her and did a darker root, from that point on we just glossed her with Redken EQ shades each visit with something slightly darker until we ended up with the desired shade. This gave us more control and was very gentle on her hair. In the end she was back to brunette but still has dimension in her color rather than looking too solid.”
LILY ALDRIDGE:
“For Lily, I like to do fine highlights at the root then balayage bigger pieces on her ends. After that I do a darker gloss at the root and something warm all over. I want her to have swirls of lightness and warmth throughout but still look natural. The gloss at the root is essential to diffuse the look of a traditional highlight.”

HERMES Fall Winter 2014
Hair by Guido, Redken Creative Consultant
Redken Creative Consultant Guido drew inspiration from classic 70’s film stars that really epitomized effortless beauty. In order to create a similar feel for Hermes, Guido used two key blowdry products before twisting the hair to one side for an elegant finish. Hairsprays were left aside so that the hair remained soft and easy.
“It was important for the hair to feel rich and luxurious for Hermes, so I used pillow proof blowdry express primer and satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion to get that gorgeous blowout prior to styling. Once the hair was dry, I created a slight twist around the face and secured it with a pin behind the right ear. It was an understated style, but incredibly elegant nonetheless.” -Guido, Redken Creative Consultant
Redken Products Used:
-pillow proof blowdry express primer
-satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion
How To Create the Look:
Spray pillow proof blowdry express primer on damp hair
Apply satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion
Blowdry hair with a round brush
Create a clean side part to the left
Twist front section and pin behind right ear
Stella McCartney 2014
As the exclusive nail sponsor of Stella McCartney Collections in 2014, Sally Hansen strutted down the runway at the spectacular Stella McCartney Winter 2014 Collection fashion show at the Palais Garnier during Paris Fashion Week. To complement the bold textures and sophisticated color palette of the designer’s Winter 2014 Collection, the Sally Hansen nail looks worn on the runway featured clean, modern, understated shades of nude to flatter the models’ skin tones.
THE NAIL LOOK
Sally Hansen Global Color Ambassador, Madeline Poole, custom blended colors of barely blush, nudes and sheers from the Complete Salon Manicure palette.
“We did a natural slightly sheer nail using various combinations of four shades,” said Madeline Poole. “Colors were layered differently for each model to best complement their skin tone. As different nudes look better on different hands, we wanted to customize each girl’s look rather than using the same nude on everyone.
Thanks to the all-in-one product Complete Salon Manicure, we were able to skip base coat application and with the larger, rounded brush, swiftly paint the nails so we could also address nail health and cuticle treatment. As most of the models have had a multitude of nail changes over this past month of fashion shows, we wanted to bring emphasis to conditioning and nourishing the cuticles with Sally Hansen’s Cuticle Rehab. A little bit of backstage TLC goes a long way.”
