Budding film director Gia Coppola teamed up with nouvelle girl group “The Like” to create a short viral video celebrating the Zac Posen for Target collection hitting stores later this month. Coppola and Posen met years ago when he was first starting out in fashion, while Coppola and members of the girl group have been friends since high school. Inspired by old footage of “The Beatles” in their hotel room, the video shows the girls primping for a show and playing their hit song “Fair Game” all clad in Zac Posen for Target glam-gear.

Irina Shabayeva, the season six winner of Project Runway, debuted her Fall 2010 collection on Saturday, February 13th, 2010, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at SIR Stage 37. Freedom and the un-tethered journey of flight set Shabayeva on a course to create a fantasy of intricate beading, textile construction and exotic materials. Hand sewn creations of soft cashmeres, silk-screened and hand- painted wools were showcased side-by-side with structurally sculpted bodices and flight inspired flounces.

“Knowing that Tupperware is so passionate about empowering women, it was easy to implement an element of determination into the clothing,” states Shabayeva. “To me, fashion and the design process is liberating, fun and empowering.”

The fall 2010 collection was inspired by a mixture of 70’s Parisian attitude and an urban New York City girl. With a renewed love for classic sportswear, silhouettes have been re-worked with a twist to give subtle edge on signature feminine designs. The palette includes dusty hues and new neutrals contrasted with military olives and hints of old gold. Fabrics are washed to provide a worn, overly-loved appeal and are combined with cashmere wool suits, leopard faux furs and down quilted coats, together giving this collection an affordable luxe quality.

Bryce Gruber of The Luxury Spot, a widely read online lifestyle site, became the first member of the media to experience the latest in personal grooming, Vajazzling. Gruber stated: “I’m here to cover up my C section scar. I’m here to give the women of America options.”

She was sent by Spa Week Daily, to cover one of the treatments that will be offered during Spa Week Spring 2010, April 12-18, when spa treatments are just $50 a piece at participating spas across the country. Gruber headed to Completely Bare on Bond Street to try their newest service, Vajazzling, which is the bedazzling of the area which gets waxed when getting a bikini wax (or more) by adding crystals and beads to the nether regions.
