MAC Tabloid Beauty

It’s no secret, the tabloids have taken over! More often than not, though when we read the fantastical claims made in tabloids, they turn out to be true. Well, MAC is following the trend – they’re putting their money where their mouth is with their new Tabloid Beauty collection!

Anyone can make a claim, but not everyone can back it up. These products are a collection of MAC faves, each with claims that they’ve clinically tested and proven. And each claim is displayed proudly on each package:

Lady Gaga at the MAC Viva Glam Launch UK

Yesterday, March 1st, 2010, MAC Cosmetics launched their two new MAC Viva Glam spokespeople in London! Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper conducted numerous interviews with UK and global print/ TV media.

Later in the day, MAC held an exclusive event: “An Audience With Lady Gaga & Cyndi Lauper”. The event was hosted by Sharon Osbourne and was a candid conversation about HIV/AIDS and the Viva Glam movement. 100% of the questions were submitted by our MAC Facebook Fans. The event was streamed on the MAC Cosmetics Facebook page via Ustream. In just a few hours over 35,000 people had viewed the event!

Eyes:
POWDER BLUSH IN TAUPE, EYE SHADOW IN QUARRY, EYE SHADOW IN COPPERPLATE – All washed (layered from Taupe to Copperplate) from the lash line to the brow with a soft 224 brush, and taken beneath the eye and down the sides of the nose with a 219 brush.

Set Powder in Invisible – powdered over the eye area to set concealer
Pigment in With Legal – swept over the concealed eyelid from lash to brow and in the inner eye corner
Iridescent Powder in Silver Dusk – lightly applied to the inner eye corner and under the brow bone
Studio Fix Lash – applied to top and bottom lash

Fix+ – blended with the pigment to activate the colour
MAC pro pigment in white – pressed into centre of the eyelid
Glitter in reflects gold – pressed over the pigment in white into the centre of the eyelid

Lip Treatment – dabbed on eyelid over eye kohl for a wet look effect

Creme Liner in Black and Mixing Medium Wat er Base – placed horizontal strokes in the crease of the eyelid and the same below the eye with stronger strokes in the centre
