Estée Lauder America’s Night to Repair Event
On Thursday evening, July 22nd, 2010, Estée Lauder kicked off its largest sampling program to date – America’s Night to Repair. Continuing the success of last year’s first annual America’s Night to Repair, for 4 synchronized hours – from 5:00pm – 9:00pm (all local times) – Estée Lauder Beauty Advisors were distributing a total of 360,000 deluxe samples. Customers could choose either a 10-day supply of NEW Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex or Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex at ALL Estée Lauder department and specialty store counters nationwide while supplies lasted.

Christian Dior Couture Fall 2010
The inspiration for Christian Dior’s Couture Fall 2010 collection is clearly an exquisite bouquet of flowers. The style genius behind it all is non other John Galliano. I have picked my favorite dress from Galliano’s creations. I can just imagine a model wearing this Dior dress in a photo shoot set in Paris right after sunsets and the sky is just a swirls of deep blues, pinks, and purples. Apparently, part of his research involved studying real flowers, spending an hour watching the light change on a parrot tulip, for instance. Read full article in style.com.

MAC Nail Lacquer in SCORCHER
One of the greatest things about living in Scottsdale Arizona is that I get to swim a lot, in my own pool of course. The other day I went for an afternoon swim sporting MAC Nail Lacquer in SCORCHER, a perfect summer coral shade nail polish. BTW we work magic in the desert, with a special pool treatment, our pool temperature stays cool even though outside temperature can get up to 104 degrees. “Scottsdale The Most Livable City”, maybe???!!

Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci showed his first presentation-style couture show of ten stunning looks in Paris in July 2010, having decided intimate surroundings and fewer looks was better than a runway for viewing couture. “My style is about the little details,” said Tisci. “If a dress goes by with the kind of speed of my shows, you might go, ‘Oh, there’s a lace dress.’ You won’t see why it took 1,600 hours to make.” Read full article in www.coutorture.com.
