Pantene Celebrity Stylist Danilo created Katy Perry’s hairdo for the 2010 MET Ball.
According to Danilo: “Katy’s been incredibly fun to work with this year because she loves to experiment with varied retro styles while still keeping the charm of old-school glamour. The look I created tonight was very 50’s Liz Taylor, hair pulled off the face with a sea of black waves.

According to Danilo: “Gwen’s dress was made from a gold, vintage thread fabric from the 30’s, and we wanted to honor the ethereal flow by creating a chic silhouette from head to toe. I created a dramatic, contemporary twist inspired by Grace Kelly and the Hitchcock film goddesses.”

“It was very humid tonight and Rachel’s hair is fine so we had to layer products into her hair in a different way to make sure the style not only looked beautiful, shiny and natural, but held up throughout the evening.”

I started by adding a few drops of Moroccanoil Treatment to her hair, to condition and strengthen it while reducing drying time. This helped ensure a shiny, healthy look. Then I blow-dried her hair with a medium-sized, round brush.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK: Hair Tutorial
On wet hair, Campora applied Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip ($23) throughout the head and then formed a middle part. Using a flat brush, he blow-dried the hair until completely dry. With a 1 inch curling iron, he curled the entire head and pinned the curls up letting them dry for 5 minutes.

On wet hair, Campora applied Fekkai Coiff Extra Control Styling Gel ($23) throughout and then formed a side part. He dried the hair and used his fingers to create a wave. Next, piece by piece, he pinned the back of the hair with bobby pins creating waves in the backwhile keeping the sides and front smooth. To set the look, he sprayed Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray ($35).

Scarlett Johansson’ fresh, softly textured updo, created by leading celebrity stylist David Babaii for the International Premiere of her new film Iron Man 2 looked extraordinary. A perfect complement to the flowing waves and graceful lines of her ice blue Armani Prive dress, the look emphasized a flowing cascade of smooth, well-conditioned waves pulled back into a graceful bun.
Babaii used Argan Oil-infused Moroccanoil products to create the fabulous effect. “I started with wet hair, working in Moroccanoil Intense Curl Cream for gentle hold and to create a texture that was soft and smooth. With my hands, I then scrunched her hair and manipulated it to get the desired shape that I was looking for. I also used a diffuser to help shape the curls.
