Origins Rocked Earth Month with Juliette Lewis and Macy Gray
On Monday, April 19th, 2010, Origins invited fans in the tri-state area to the first annual Origins Rocks Earth Month concert to celebrate Earth Month and to further the brand’s programs for sustaining the planet. The free concert, held at Webster Hall New York City, featured headliner Macy Gray and emerging artists Ryan Star, whose single “Breathe” is currently charting, and Jon McLaughlin. Origins chose to partner with the Grammy award-winning artist as her new single, “Beauty in the World,” truly captures the sentiment of Earth Month.

Fashion’s Night Out To Stage The Largest Public Fashion Show in NYC History
This year, Fashion’s Night Out is staging the largest ever public fashion show in NYC history! On September 7th, 2010 of the industry’s top models will storm Lincoln Center and present the show of a lifetime.
The show, produced by Vogue in conjunction with SPEC Entertainment, will highlight key trends of the Fall 2010 season (as identified by the magazine), will feature merchandise intended for fall delivery, and inspire shoppers as they prepare their wish lists for the main Fashion’s Night Out event on Friday, September 10th.

Summer Nail Trends: I can’t get over how beautiful and wearable the NEW ZOYA flash & sparkle Summer 2010 nail polish collections. You just can’t go wrong with even buying the entire collections. Every single shade is just gorgeous! Today I’m wearing: manicure ZOYA in JANCYN (the perfect coral/light almost beige orange, reminds me of a sunset summer sky) and pedicure ZOYA MAURA (the perfect coral red), both from the flash collection seen in first image below. Introducing Peter Lamas the hairdresser to the stars. Peter was Jackie O’s hairdresser for years and has worked with everyone from Diana Ross to Kate Winslet. Needless to say, I was very curious to try some products of his from his hair care line. And of course, because I’m a beauty addict.
I put the Peter Lamas RICE Volumizing Shampoo and conditioner (formulated with rice protein nature’s thickening and volumzing agen and with certifed organic botanicals, vitamins and amino acids) to the test this morning. I love the packaging. Kind of an understated feature, I know, but sometime products can be great but when they are not user friendly or attractive to the eye it can be a deal breaker. The packaging was straight forward yet it had a quality feel to it. Then I really loved the smell. Not too sweet and not too fresh and poky. A smell that will make you want to smell your hair all day. I was a bit nervous to try the volumizing shampoo and conditioner because I was expecting to get super huge, dry, and tough to control hair which I sometimes get from volumizing hair products. In addition I already have naturally super voluminous hair (I know, tough life LOL).
