This morning in Paris, the Lancôme makeup team unveiled their Fall 2009 color collection, Declaring Indigo. Created by Lancôme artistic director for makeup Aaron De Mey, this collection celebrates Paris in all its vibrancy. Aaron chose shades that represent the glamour, the energy and the passion of Paris—indigo blue, bright red and luxurious gold.

Lancôme debuted a few key shades during New York Fashion Week Fall 2009. At Chris Benz, all three Lancôme Le Vernis nail colors were showcased: Golden Audacity, Indigo Paris and Rouge Liberty. Lancôme spokesmodel Daria Werbowy is the face of the collection. She was photographed by Mario Sorrenti for the ad.  

Declaring Indigo will be available for sale starting in August, but Nordstrom has a limited-edition Declaring Indigo brush-and-makeup bag set available for pre-order now. You might have seen this in the new issue of W magazine with Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Willis on the cover.

New York Fashion Week Fall 2009 Report: MAC makeup face charts from Ruffian fashion show by artist James Kaliardos.

The look is inspired by Carolyn Bessette, it’s young and confident.” James kaliardos

Eyes: Light sweep sculpting powder – blended down from the Crease over the eyelids. Dazzleblack mascara delicately swept onto the top lashes.

Face: Studio Sculpt SPF15 Foundation – applied to the face as a base.Light sweep and accentuate sculpting powder – countouring the Cheek bones and temples in an angular shape. Emphasize sculpting powder -  blended into cheek bones for highlight. Loose prep+prime powder – brushed on to set the face.

Lip: Cherry lip pencil – applied first to fill in the lips. Ruffian Red Lipstick – created by MAC in celebration of Ruffian’s fall/winter 09 collection. This lipstick was painted onto The lips with a soft diffused edge.

New York Fashion Week Fall 2009 Report: Wella gives us an exciting, backstage look into the makings of one of the most talked-about fashion shows this fall, Malandrino.

Hair color is the newest fashion accessory this fall. For the second season in a row, Wella Professionals brought hair color to New York Fashion Week at Catherine Malandrino’s Fall ‘09 show at NYC’s the Rainbow Room. The fashionable female team that collaborated on this Surrealist-inspired hairstyle included lead stylist Odile Gilbert and Eva Scrivo, lead colorist for Wella Professionals.
