Rita Hazan, celebrity colorist and owner of the Rita Hazan Salon in New York City, flew to Los Angeles to give a full hair makeover to the stunning Keri Hilson (known for her song “Knock You Down” featuring Kanye West). With a new album on the way, Keri wanted a new and fresh look. Now that summer has arrived the decision was easy. Going blonde was the way to go!

Rita gave us the scoop on how she brought Keri back straight into the L.A. summer look:

“Keri had medium brown hair. I thought it would be cool to leave the sides dark and lighten the whole top to a honey blond with many different tones. She is gorgeous and that always makes my job easier!”

Keri was so pleased with the outcome of her hair and debuted her new look at the 2010 BET Awards, capturing the attention of everyone on the red carpet.

Actress and singer Adrienne Bailon was feeling the same way when she came into the Hair Rules Salon in New York City this week. Adrienne turned her hair over to the salon team, led by texture- guru Dickey, to give her hair a much-needed boost. The mastermind behind the texture-based salon and hair care brand, Dickey has decades of experience bringing out the best in every texture imaginable, from the runway to the red carpet. “I want something new and different to start of 2010,” Adrienne told Dickey. “I want to go back to blonde – they say that blondes have more fun; let’s see!”

Dickey and his team went to work, giving Adrienne gorgeous golden highlights, a clean cut, and a sexy blowout.

“I’m obsessed with my new color!” Adrienne gushed. “Ask any of my twitter followers – I literally ask at least once a week what color I should have. This will be my color for the next year at least. I just LOVE it – I look sun-kissed.”

This is what I call a wow factor: Kate Gosselin’s new long hairdo on the cover of People Magazine. Love, love, love. Kate looks so much younger, hipper, and happier. I hear it took 20 hours to get Kate’s locks long and gorgeous with hair extensions. The talented man behind Kate’s new hair is celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson. Ted is fabulous. I met him back in July 2009 during a Vanity Fair party in New York City for the launch of  TV series: What Not To Wear and the celebration of his role in it. I even chatted with Mr Gibson and he is the coolest!
