Anna Paquin at the 2010 SAG Awards

BEST DRESSED: I adored Anna Paquin’s dress at the 2010 SAG Awards. The colors looked amazing on Anna. Loved the matching gold infused shoes, hair and makeup. Also, cute to see how Anna Paquin and her partner Stephen Moyer are inseparable on the red carpet. Must be love! BTW Anna Paquin is a New Zealand actress.

Beyonce Knowles and Chris Martin at the Hope for Haiti Now Telethon

Here’s lovely Beyonce Knowles and Chris Martin at the Hope for Haiti Now Telethon on Friday, January 22, 2010. I love Beyonce’s new bangs. Definitely a rock star hairdo. Must be amazing to do a duet with Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Classic. I’m a huge Coldplay fan. I have a thing for British rock stars as you probably already noticed. In addition, it is beautiful how celebrities come together to give back and help Haiti!

Kate Hudson at the 2010 SAG Awards

BEST DRESSED: Kate Hudson brought  pure elegance to the red carpet last night for the 2010 SAG Awards. You had to see the back of the dress to really appreciate the whole look. I hear from Celebrity Stylist Rachel Zoe’s Twitter that she was the style genius who picked Kate’s white PUCCI gown. Marta LOVE:) “White is the new black :)” according to Rachel Zoe.

NARS Everlasting Love 15 Year Anniversary Palette

What I like about NARS Everlasting Love 15 Year Anniversary Palette ($75)  is that it includes most of the makeup I need to complete my makeup look day or night. I can travel with it and it keeps my makeup area clutter free. My favorite items from the palette: The Multiple in South Beach is a creamy blush/bronzer that gives me a gorgeous sun-kissed glow (shimmering apricot), Eyeshadow in Night Breed is a dramatic black eye shadow that will smoke your eyes in an instant (black with silver glitter), Eyeshadow in Edie for highlighting (delicate pearl sheen), and the Lipstick in Chelsea Girls (nude pink beige) if you love NARS lip gloss in Turkish Delight you will also love this one.

The NARS 15 Year Anniversary Palette, Everlasting Love, delivers an elegant look that focuses on dramatic, smoky shades for the eye, a subtle glow for the cheeks, and soft, neutral lips. The compact features a specialized logo treatment in celebration of NARS’ big birthday.

Scarlett Johansson in Mango Ads

Love Scarlett Johansson’s trench coat dress in her latest Mango ads. I also approve Scarlett’s voluminous waves and and smoky eyes. However, Scarlett’s stare is little lifeless and makes her look like a mannequin. Pretty but cold. Do you love?

Ashley Greene at the InStyle 2010 Golden Globes After Party

Twilight star Ashley Greene looked very pretty in all black at the InStyle 2010 Golden Globes After Party. I didn’t mind the dress but I wasn’t all too wowed about it. It was a bit too safe. Maybe if Ashley paired the little black dress with sparkly silver or golden high heels the look would be less monochromatic. Ashley was little bit lost in that dress and the dress made her look too serious. Am I just the only one?

PIERRE CARDIN 60 YEARS OF INNOVATION By Jean-Pascal Hesse

ASSOULINE Announces the Release of PIERRE CARDIN: 60 YEARS OF INNOVATION By Jean-Pascal Hesse.

“Geometric motifs, asymmetry, oversized buttons and collars, hooped dresses, vinyl inserts-Cardin is an original in every sense of the word.”

ASSOULINE - Pierre Cardin: 60 Years of Innovation

ASSOULINE is delighted to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the Masion Cardin, with the publication of a commemorative retrospective of the work of its founder, fashion designer Pierre Cardin.

Born in 1922 in San Biagio di Callalta, near Venice, Pierre Cardin immigrated to Paris in 1924. After working briefly with Elsa Schiaparelli, Cardin joined Dior in 1946 and opened his own couture house in 1950. He was a pioneer from the start, creating a design-based, architectural fashion with a futurist sensibility. Cardin also had an avant-garde understanding of fashion’s relationship to new audiences, presenting his collections to large crowds. He was the first to demonstrate that fashion can be both a creative process and a business-and that one man can excel as both a businessman and an artist.

Bobbi Brown Makeup

Smoky Eyes: I’m loving my eyes smoky these days. I feel a bit 1960s nostalgic, edgy, and playful with smoky eyes. For the longest time I’ve been using black purple eye shadow or dark brown. I’m now addicted to black eye shadow. My favorite is: Bobbi Brown eye shadow in Caviar, $20 (see image below). I apply to both the upper and lower eyelids, and add a black liquid eye liner by Maybelline to wing my eyes for an extra dramatic and wow factor effect. Promise, I will update with photos very soon!:)
