Christian Siriano Fashion Show: Get the Victoria Secret Makeup Look
Key Makeup Artist Polly Osmond for Created a Cleopatra-esqe Look for Christian Siriano’s Fall 2009 Runway Show.
According to Osmond, “The look was based on a modern take of an Egyptian feel. We used heavy golds and blacks. The eyes were lined underneath with VS Makeup Eyeliner in Black Velvet with a more square shape rather than cat like. On the top of eyelids we used a gold shadow (VS Makeup Silky Eyeshadow in Champagne). We highlighted the face using the champagne shadow and lightly contoured with the VS Makeup Goddess Bronzer. On the darker skins, we used the bronzer as the highlighter. Mascara was then applied to top lashes only. Lips were a heavy gold. Live From NY Fashion Week: Twinkle
Hey! I just wanted to let you all know I will be blogging from my Blackberry live from fashion week. You will have to excuse the bullet points writing and blurry pictures but this is the action as it is happening. I’ll have high res pictures and videos when I get back 🙂
My first show was Twinkle.
Mac makeup inspiration: Is 1950’s, a girl going out on a date for the first time. Sexy kitten eyes not like her mother, which are bolder cat eyes. Lips are red orange, which is lighter, softer, fresher with MAC Lipstick in Lady Danger (vivid coral-red). Complexion is flawless, using just a concealer.
Key stylist at Twinkle was John Ruidant for Redken. The hairstyle for the Twinkle show was inspired by 1950s Drive-In. John Ruidant’s favorite Redken haircare product for the show was Redken hot sets 22.

Eyes were the focus of the beauty look for Nicole Miller at New York Fashion Week Fall 2009. “I wanted to show you can do a colored smokey eye and it can be very wearable and not look weird,” says makeup artist James Kaliardos for MAC who chose to work with dreamy shades of blue.
First, Marine Ultra Paint Stick was applied all over the the lid and up into creases. Next, a lighter Freshwater Eye Shadow was placed on the center of the eyelid and under the lashline. Finally, a deep Atlantic Blue Eye Shadow was swept in crease for depth.

The look for Abaete’s Fall 2009 collection created by Tina Turnbow with Tarte started with fresh skin. Caudalie’s beauty elixir and lip conditioner hydrated skin prior to makeup application. The makeup was natural, no makeup-makeup. Tarte’s ReCreate gave even color and coverage to the face. Brows were softened by wax from the toolbox brow kit and topped by provocateur mineral powder. Liquid Sunshine added a hint of shine on the lids, rejuvalash defined lashes, and Blushing Bride cheek stain, applied sparingly, added the slightest hint of color on lips and cheeks.
