Anyone who loves makeup is excited about Friday’s opening of Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland.” Lancôme ambassador Anne Hathaway portrays the White Queen, a role she was perfect for given her porcelain complexion.
Anne Hathaway’s gorgeous skin was the focal point of her look at the London premiere of the film last week (as you can see in the picture below). Makeup artist Kate Lee did the honors and also focused on Anne’s radiant eyes and smile. The dress, in case you’re wondering, is by Vivienne Westwood.

LA PERLA Fall 2010 Makeup by Hourglass Cosmetics
Hourglass Cosmetics lead makeup artist Michael Pierce created the LA PERLA Fall 2010 Collection Preview makeup look. The preview took place at the Lehmann Maupin gallery in NYC on the first day of Fashion Week.
“LA PERLA is known for stunning, one-of-a-kind lingerie,” say Michael Pierce. “Women simply feel beautiful when wearing their pieces and when creating the makeup, I wanted to reflect the inner-confidence and radiance that comes with wearing LA PERLA.”
Makeup Tutorial:
For the LA PERLA collection, I was inspired by 40s Hollywood – Veronica Lake and other silver screen sirens. The focus is on a gorgeous, strong red lip, but a red that every woman can wear. LA PERLA is beautiful, sexy and feminine and nothing portrays a woman’s beauty like the ability to wear a truly stunning red. Hourglass’ “Raven” lipstick is gorgeous and sexy– and works for all women. To add to this look, the eyes are light with tight black eyeliner.
Dolce&Gabbana Spring 2010 Collection Makeup
Dolce&Gabbana Spring 2010 Collection Makeup.
Just as the S/S 2010 runway collection embraces the voluptuous floral prints of Domenico Dolce’s and Stefano Gabbana’s beloved Sicilian heritage, the Intimate Sensuality Collection embodies Sicily’s traditional wild roses coupled with all of nature’s nuances and eloquence. The balance shifts as Hollywood’s flamboyant glamour makes room for the slyly seductive powers of the Mediterranean.
the lipstick: Classic Cream Lipstick in Petal 145 (new) $30USD
“We wanted an even more intense exploration of another side of femininity,” says Domenico Dolce, “A new flavor that’s more Sicilan, Mediterranean… romantic. There are so many facets of women just as there is such a variety of wild roses, each one so unique.” “The rose is a symbol of everything we love about woman,” adds Stefano Gabbana, “and what we love most about our favorite woman, Scarlett Johansson, who is more than just a muse; she is the Dolce & Gabbana woman, someone who has so many layers.”

CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua worked with Michelle Williams at the premiere of Shutter Island at the 60th Berlin Film Festival on Saturday, Feb. 13th, 2010.
Makeup Tutorial:
“Michelle’s look was inspired by simple elegance. I kept her youthful glow by first moisturizing with CHANEL Sublimage Fluid, with then a wash of CHANEL Teint Innocence Foundation in Beige, blended with my fingers. We focused on lashes using CHANEL Sculpte Cils Mascara on the upper and lower lashes, and warmed up the eyes with CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Kaska Beige.

New York Fashion Week. Show: Tibi Fall 2010. Makeup with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.
“The Tibi woman for Fall 2010 is always pretty, but doesn’t know it, and didn’t try to be. She’s a youthful woman with round, soft features, but dramatic eyes. She is disheveled, yet elegant all at the same time…”-Wendy Rowe for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics
Tibi Fall 2010 makeup face chart with Bobbi Brown
Unaware of the beauty she possesses, the Tibi woman always exudes disheveled elegance in the most unintentional, yet glamorous way. A fresh, dewy face provides the perfect canvas for showcasing a 60s-inspired “cat eye” with winged liner and dramatically defined lashes. A bit of pink blush on the cheek and a nude lip polish off this soft, youthful look that marries pretty with powerful.

Lancôme & Latina Celebrate Arlenis Sosa
Arlenis Sosa Latina magazine March 2010 Cover and Lancôme: The radiant Arlenis Sosa, one of Lancôme’s favorite spokesmodels, was feted by Lancôme and Latina magazine on Monday night, Feburary 22nd, 2010. The party celebrated Arlenis’s cover story in the March 2010 issue of Latina (image below).
The fun party, which was held at The Lancôme Boutique on NYC’s Upper West Side, attracted quite a crowd. Makeup artist Scott Barnes was there, as were pop star Kat DeLuna and MTV’s Julissa Bermudez—fellow Dominicanas there to cheer on Arlenis. (We were especially loving Kat’s dramatic black eyeliner and glossy lips, which was done by Scott himself.) The team behind the cover—photographer Marc Baptiste and makeup artist Rene Garnes—also dropped by. Arlenis was thrilled to see designer Luis Menieur there, too. After all, he did launch her modeling career after discovering her in Santo Domingo!
Arlenis looked radiantly chic in a Bordeaux-colored Alexander Wang mini-dress. The Lancôme Boutique’s Ewa Szwed did Arlenis’s makeup for the party here are the Lancôme products used:
