Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Lotion
I go with Mario Badescu years ago in New York City. I remember ‘it’ was the it spot to get pampered and get great facials for my co-workers on the trading floor in midtown Manhattan. I even once got a special treat to get a facial done at the Mario Badescu spa in New York City and it was quite a pleasant experience. This is almost 9 years ago my friends!
More recently, I’ve been using the Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Lotion in the evening after I cleanse my face to get my face nicely toned, or sometimes in the mourning before my shower in those days when I think I didn’t get a good face cleansing the night before. This cleansing lotion is gentle even if you keep reapplying with a cotton pad. Formulated with Aloe Vera, Algea Extract, and Witch Hazel which seem like just simple and classic ingredients for your skin. BTW, after a quick trip to the local Scottsdale ULTA here in Arizona I’ve discovered that they carry the Mario Badescu skin care line. Perfect!

Kate Moss on Vintage Perfume, Style and Life
Kate Moss sits down with Women’s Wear Daily’s Brid Costello to discuss her new scent Vintage, which was introduced in Europe earlier this month. Stephen Mormoris, svp of global marketing at Coty said they may look into having Moss create a special color cosmetics collections for its Rimmel brand, which Moss also fronts. On the fragrance’s genesis – her love for vintage fashion – has much more humble origins. “I couldn’t really afford designer clothes when I was young, so I just went to the secondhand shops. It wasn’t called vintage then, It was called ‘secondhand’ when I was 15.” She also opens up about how she relaxes, her inspirations and how to multitask.

On defining beauty: “it sounds really corny, but I think that if you’re beautiful inside, it shows on the outside for sure. You can be a pretty face, but if your not a nice person it just doesn’t work. I’m not traditionally a beauty, but apparently people think I’m all right. If you’re a nice person, it definitely helps.”

Cate Blanchett on Vogue December 2009 Cover
The December 2009 issue of VOGUE, on newsstands November 24th, features a stunning Cate Blanchett, as she takes on one of the great dramatic roles of all time: Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire. VOGUE writer, Adam Green, says Blanchett “remains a creature of the stage,” and sits down with the self proclaimed “theater geek,” as she opens up about the importance of theater, her career choices and her family.
Highlights From the Article:
On the importance of theater: “In the wake of everything that’s happened in the world in the last eighteen months, we’re thinking about what we’ve lost. So much of the play is about the death of poetry and idealism and hope—the fine, delicate things in our lives, the intangible, ephemeral things in our lives—which theater actually represents, doesn’t it? It’s ephemeral by its very nature. If you’re not there, you miss it. It’s gone.”
VOGUE Arts Video: Lady Gaga
December’s Vogue 2009, on newsstands nationwide November 24th, highlights some of most talented individuals of our generation: dancers, musicians, and actors all beautifully captured by photographer Annie Leibovitz for the annual Arts issue. Now live on Vogue.com, an exclusive peek behind the scenes with Annie Leibovitz and Vogue’s Creative Director Grace Coddington as they discuss the making of the Arts issue and their visually stunning feature of Hansel and Gretel inspired by the Metropolitan Opera’s production opening December 14th.
Actor Andrew Garfield and model Lily Cole play the title characters who come upon a Marc Jacobs clad witch, played by the always dramatic Lady Gaga (and, once again, she doesn’t disappoint). But not all the drama transpired in front of the camera, in the video Coddington describes Gaga’s provocative arrival to the set, “in order for us to have a clean palate to work with, she turned up completely naked under a white rubber rain coat.”
