Manuel Canovas Paris Les Fantaisies Parfumees

Manuel Canovas Paris Les Fantaisies Parfumees is a collection of 5 perfumes: Pink Riviera, Anse Turquoise, L’ile Bleue, Ballade Verte, and Route Mandarine.

My favorite from the Manuel Canovas Paris Les Fantaisies Parfumees collection is Route Mandarine. It reminds me of COCO Chanel which I also love. It smells very oriental and very seductive. Definitely an evening perfume.

Manuel Canovas Paris Les Fantaisies Parfumees in Route Mandarine was inspired by the Orient, and featuring notes of geranium, orange, bergamot, mandarin, clove, citron, cinnamon, ylang ylang, patchouli, rose, muguet, jasmine, orange blossom, sandalwood, vetiver, white musk, vanilla, amber, labdanum, incense, raspberry blossom and civette.

All five of the Manuel Canovas fragrances are available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum for $95 each. The line is available at Bergdorf Goodman in New York and at www.canovasfragrance.com

Pink Riviera was inspired by Saint Tropez, with notes of bergamot from Calabria, Italian citron, Greek grapefruit, Italian mandarin, wild mint, Egyptian jasmine, Turkish rose, Indian sandalwood, white musk and amber.

Marta Walsh Interviews Patricia Kara from Deal or NO Deal

Couple of months ago, I had an amazing opportunity to interview the beautiful Patrica Kara for Beauty Interviews.

Patricia Kara is an actress, model, and a TV personality best known as Deal or No Deal’s #9. Patricia along with Tameka Jacobs, were the only ones chosen to be on the new Daytime Deal or No Deal with Howie Mandel, which premiered in September 2008. In addition, Patricia has appeared in over 20 television programs, such as, E! Entertainment’s Wild On, Extra, and the Golden Globes.

Read my interview with Patricia Kara where we chat about her love for hosting TV shows, how Deal or No deal revolutionized her career, beauty secrets, her upcoming calendar, and plans for the future.

Why have you decided on a career in hosting and reporting?
I started out with modeling about twenty years ago back in Chicago. That led me to Florida and New York. When I was in New York my modeling agency started to send me out to auditions for hosting and acting. I started booking jobs here and there. One job led to the next job. Then I moved to LA and kept working. And I love it! Anytime I can talk and get paid for it to, is just great. I find my job real easy, it is what I love to do. With hosting I get to try new and different things, depending on what I’m hosting about, and being part of them in a way most people don’t get to do. For example, if I do a show about wake boarding, I’ll try wake boarding. I’ve done a fishing show. I’ve also hosted a lot of sporting events, such as Kentucky Derby.

Top 10 Fall Fragrances 2008 by Now Smell This

Here is a great article I found on Top 10 Fall Fragrances 2008 by Now Smell This.

Fall? Bah, humbug. I’m a summer person. The best thing I can say about fall is that at least it isn’t winter yet. Here are some of the fragrances I like to wear while counting the days until spring…

CB I Hate Perfume Burning Leaves: I can’t think of any other scent that so perfectly captures what fall ought to smell like. As I said when I reviewed it, it is “calming and invigorating at the same time”, and it layers beautifully with all kinds of other things. To stick with the autumn theme, layer it with Gathering Apples (from the same brand).

L’Artisan Navegar: I think of Navegar as the fall version of L’Eau de L’Artisan – take out the seaweed, add some spices, voilà. It’s too lightweight for qualify as a winter scent, but in the early, crisp days of fall when you can still get away with a light jacket, it’s just right. Another spicy cologne to carry you into fall: Diptyque L’Eau de L’Eau.

Bvlgari Omnia: In the same seasonal category as Navegar – sheer but spicy, perfect for those early days when it’s not yet cold enough for Donna Karan Black Cashmere. That is, assuming you’re one of those lucky people that can smell Omnia at all. If you’re not, you’ll spray it on and wonder where it went.

Diptyque Tam Dao: Is the glut of information fueling your election anxiety disorder? Spray on some soothing Tam Dao. Oh, and stop looking at the polls. It will all be over soon.

Kenzo Amour: Tam Dao didn’t work? Spray on some Kenzo Amour. Still freaking out? Did you try layering them? Well then, sorry, there’s nothing we can do for you. Apparently you need to go camping.

Estee Lauder Sensuous: Yeah, yeah, I know. Many of you hate it. Angela found it dull, and she’s got plenty of company. I can’t make a case for Sensuous as an edgy scent, it’s true, but I prefer to think of it as “easy to wear”. I reach for it at night when I’m too tired for edgy.

Kiehl’s Forest Rain Eau de Toilette Spray

This fall, Kiehl’s Since 1851 is exceedingly proud to carry on its apothecary tradition by bringing a new fragrance into its scent library.

Kiehl’s Forest Rain Eau de Toilette is a spicy, yet woodsy blend, inspired by many of the classic essences once sold in Kiehl’s original apothecary, and like all Kiehl’s products, is appropriate for both men and women. Sure to be an instant classic, Forest Rain Eau de Toilette is the first new Eau De Toilette from Kiehl’s since the introduction of Kiehl’s popular Musk Eau de Toilette in 2004.

A gorgeous, deep forest green glass bottle houses this fresh blend of Muguet, Vetiver, Citrus and Cedar Wood, which has the following scent characteristics:

Top notes are Wet Grass and Muguet Petals combined with a Peppery Sweet Citrus and Earthy Guaic Leaves.

Middle notes include Damp Moss with Jasmine and other White Flowers.

Dry Down has the essence of Deep Sunbleached Hay, Cedarwood and Vetiver, and a Soft Musk.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Pleasures Perfume by Estee Lauder

One of my favorite Hollywood actresses, Gwyneth Paltrow, also happens to be the face of Pleasures Perfume by Estee Lauder.

ET recnetly nnraveled Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pleasures. Here it is:

Gwyneth Paltrow reveals what pleases her!

ET goes behind the scenes of her new Estée Lauder ad campaign for Pleasures fragrance where Gwyneth heads to one of her favorite childhood haunts — Long Island.

“My best simple pleasures are just being present and being with my kids,” Paltrow reveals.
