Scarlett Johansson’ fresh, softly textured updo, created by leading celebrity stylist David Babaii for the International Premiere of her new film Iron Man 2 looked extraordinary. A perfect complement to the flowing waves and graceful lines of her ice blue Armani Prive dress, the look emphasized a flowing cascade of smooth, well-conditioned waves pulled back into a graceful bun.

Babaii used Argan Oil-infused Moroccanoil products to create the fabulous effect. “I started with wet hair, working in Moroccanoil Intense Curl Cream for gentle hold and to create a texture that was soft and smooth. With my hands, I then scrunched her hair and manipulated it to get the desired shape that I was looking for. I also used a diffuser to help shape the curls.

Disassembled shapes are pieced together, creating textured surfaces in crepe, leather, mesh and satin. A paired down silhouette outlines this season’s vision of streamlined abstraction.

The Hairstyle: Bob Recine for Moroccanoil created a sophisticated flawlessly finished high-ponytail to complement the minimal vision of the 2010 Max Azria collection. “Smooth, well-conditioned, hair with beautiful shine is the essence of this streamlined look,” said Recine. He used argan oil-based Moroccanoil Luminous Hair Spray to create a structure based on flexible, free-moving hold, and finished with Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray to add an invisible veil of radiant, natural-looking frizz-free shine.

The Hairstyle: Esther Langham created graceful variations of Renaissance art-inspired looks defined by a modern sensibility. The looks emphasize soft and flowing feminine shapes, underscored by the beauty of healthy, smooth-textured hair and the freedom of slightly tousled strands. She created two separate looks to complement Nanette Lepore’s designs– one long, waved and flowing, and the other a soft braided upsweep loosely rolled, pinned, and finished with sensual wisps of hair accenting the face.

TRESemmé created three chic looks for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2010 in NYC.

Hair Tutorial: How to get this hairdo: To coincide with the laid-back, fun-loving feel of the Whitney Eve collection, TRESemmé created a girly, textured pony. Using the right products, this playful look is easy to achieve at home:

1. Apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse to damp hair, and blow dry upside down using a round brush.

2. Spray hair with TRESemmé Thermal Creations Curl Activator Spray, and lightly curl with a 1” curling iron for texture.

3. Gently tease the top of the head towards the front of the hairline for volume.  Using fingers, pull hair back into a ponytail towards the crown, and fasten with an elastic.

4. Create texture throughout the ponytail using hands, and finish with TRESemmé TRES Two Ultra Fine Mist Hairspray.

Fine Hair Solutions: No doubt Cameron Diaz was one of my favorite beauties on the red carpet at Oscars 2010. I also loved Cameron’s voluminous hair, Rita Hayworth Hollywood waves style, which went really well with her Oscar de la Renta dress.
