Lancôme and the 2009 CFDA Awards:Lake Bell, Arlenis Sosa

Lancôme national makeup artist Tarek Abbas is Arlenis Sosa’s go-to makeup artist so it’s no surprise that he created the look for Arlenis on Monday evening.

To create a polished complexion, Tarek applied Arlenis Sosa’s and then added a touch of color to her cheeks using Color Design Cream Blush in Chic Cassis. To define her eyes, he used Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony on the lower lash line and applied Artliner in Noir to the upper lash line starting at the outer corner. Tarek wanted to give Arlenis a soft, shiny pout so he lined her lips with Le Lipstique in Sheer Chocolate, applied Le Rouge Absolu in Bordeaux and finished with a touch of Juicy Tubes in Dreamsicle.

Celebrity makeup artist Dara Klein created the look for actress Lake Bell.

Blake Lively at 2009 CFDA Awards in Neon Pink Dress

Blake Lively was spotted at the 2009 CFDA Awards last night wearing a pink neon dress. I suspect neon is the latest style trend. My family from England visited me with neon green shirts, which made me laugh hysterically when I saw them. They told me that neon was quite in-style back home. Looks like fashion travels quicker in the UK. Who knew? lol.

Catherine Zeta-Jones: How to Get the Look

David Babaii’s Hair How-To: Catherine Zeta-Jones at 37th AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards!

After gently towel-drying her hair to remove excess water, I warmed a small amount of Hair Polish in the palms of my hands before applying it through the hair. I’ve found warming this product actually boosts its ability to seal the cuticle, while repairing and strengthening each strand. Not to mention the shine!

Next, I dried her hair using my David Babaii for WildAid Blow Dryer with the nozzle attachment and a large round brush to smooth hair straight. Try to avoid any metal coated brushes. These brushes only generate unnecessary heat and will cause hair to be baked not dried. I sectioned her hair first: top, sides and back. To begin, I started by drying the nape area first and then proceeded until her entire head was dry.
