Born and raised in San Francisco, Chantal began working in the fashion industry at a young age. Though her initial career as a model kept her in front of the camera, she steadily learned the art from some of today’s top makeup artists. She works closely with some of the biggest names in music, fashion and film including Faith Hill, Kristen Bell and Jennifer Garner. Her work has appeared on numerous editorial and advertising campaigns including Cartier, Vogue, PETA and People magazine. In 2009, she became Beauty Editor for the online lifestyle magazine Tangerine Living.
In this interview Chantal Moore talks about her first memories of falling in love with makeup and beauty, her beginnings as a top beauty expert, what her modeling experience has taught her, must-have beauty products for Spring/Summer, what’s in her makeup bag, and future plans.

I’m excited to share with you my interview with Paris-born Teddy Charles, one of the fashion industry’s most notable hairstylists. Teddy is known for creating contemporary femininity and glamour with an edgy, bohemian sensibility. His cutting-edge hair creations have been featured in the pages of major fashion magazines, such as: French, Italian, American and Teen Vogue. Teddy also created hairstyles for countless runway shows, showcasing his role as a hair and fashion industry trendsetter. Teddy has worked with A-listers such as Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hayden Panettierre and Ellen Page. He has recently collaborated with Sunsilk co-creating their NEW hair care collections: Hydra TLC, Captivating Curls, Daring Volume and ThermaShine.

Marta Walsh: Where do you call home?
Teddy Charles: My first home will always be Paris, but New York is a home away from home.

Milly for Clinique Cosmetics Bag
I had the pleasure meeting Milly’s designer Michelle Smith at the Milly for Clinique Cosmetics Bag launch party at Bloomigdale’s 59th street in New York City. I was also lucky to see a fashion show presenting the fabulous Milly designs. I was in love with the clothes. The Milly collection was cut for the elegant woman yet a woman that is adventurist, likes to be outdoors, and enjoys life. Very Jackie O. Very feminine and pretty. When photographing with Michelle we both looked at each other and said at the same time. Michelle to Marta: I love your T Shirt. Marta to Michelle: And I love your dress. Getting a compliment from a fashion designer feels amazing.

Lady Gaga at the MAC Viva Glam Launch UK
Yesterday, March 1st, 2010, MAC Cosmetics launched their two new MAC Viva Glam spokespeople in London! Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper conducted numerous interviews with UK and global print/ TV media.

Later in the day, MAC held an exclusive event: “An Audience With Lady Gaga & Cyndi Lauper”. The event was hosted by Sharon Osbourne and was a candid conversation about HIV/AIDS and the Viva Glam movement. 100% of the questions were submitted by our MAC Facebook Fans. The event was streamed on the MAC Cosmetics Facebook page via Ustream. In just a few hours over 35,000 people had viewed the event!

Marta Walsh: When did you first become interested in fashion?
Ashley Zisook: I have always been into fashion… however, I never really thought it would be my career. I was in the music industry in Los Angeles and I felt I needed more creativity in my life so I enrolled in FIDM and started “The Piece” with 2 of my college friends from Boulder. The Piece was a once a month vintage sale for ladies we would do in our backyard–each month it would keep getting bigger! When I was moving back to Chicago I knew I wanted to continue doing something like The Piece, but on a much bigger scale—I wanted to offer Chicago a different type of shopping experience that hadn’t ever been done before.
