Kora Skincare Line by Miranda Kerr

Victoria’s Secret model, Miranda Kerr is already an avid green enthusiast, and even posed for the first-ever Green issue of Australian Rolling Stone.

Now she’s bringing her organic obsession to the beauty world with a brand-new line called Kora. The 100-percent organic skincare line was named after a type of meditation from Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Miranda took part in all steps of creation, from the formula to design, and even the campaign image.

So far it’s set to launch in mid-to-late October at David Jones stores in Australia, but hopefully she’ll bring the line to the States and the rest of the world soon!

Monica Cruz In Elle Spain Magazine October 2009

How hot is Monica Cruz? No, that’s not Penelope Cruz, it’s Monica, her sister. Don’t they look alike? It took me few minutes to realize it wasn’t Penelope. Monica is the ultimate brunette beauty. She almost makes me want to dye my hair brown again! I also love her very black smoky eye, the classic.  Any Thoughts guys?

To get Monica Cruz’ black smoky eye try Magic Kajal Eye Pencil by Givenchy, $21.50. This eye pencil allows you to apply a precise line or a create a smudge or smoky eye effect.

And, what do you think about Monica smoking in photo below? Maybe it’s a cultural thing. It was shot for Spanish Elle, maybe smoking it’s not as big a deal as in the U.S.

MAC Trend F/W ’09 is available from September 17, 2009 and October 2009. As designers deepen their fascination with all things architectural, from Raf Simon’s structural dresses for Jil Sander to the futuristic, constructed ‘pod’ shoes that we saw at Balenciaga, so too goes the modern face.

Milan Fashion Week Spring 2010 Makeup Trends: Dolce&Gabbana

Show: Dolce&Gabbana Spring 2010 Collection
Lead Makeup Artist: Pat McGrath for Dolce&Gabbana The Make Up
Makeup Trend: Bold red lips
The Inspiration: “This season our inspiration stemmed from the passionate Latin woman melded with our Sicilian upbringing,” said Domenico Dolce. Stefano Gabbana added, “The cultures are very similar and we wanted the beauty look to be reflective of this passion and sensuality.”

At the Dolce&Gabbana Spring/Summer 2010 Ready to Wear show in Milan, The Designer’s aptly named their show “Heritage,” which showcased their Sicilian roots and signature sartorial tailoring laced with a dose of tango. On the runway, each model donned a bold red lip created using Dolce&Gabbana The Make Up.

How to get the makeup look:

Backstage Pat McGrath prepped skin with the foundation, to create a flawlessly natural canvas. Next, McGrath sculpted cheeks using the blush, in Warm.

New York Fashion Week Spring 2010 Hair Trend Report: J. Mendel

Show: J. Mendel Sprong 2010 Collection
Lead Hair Stylist: Odile Gilbert for Moroccanoil
Hair Trend: Volume, tons of volume

Inspiration: The swooping stacked cut lines of artist Noriko Ambe. The organic splendor of artist Tara Donovan. Citing these two biomorphic artists as his springboard for the season, J. Mendel designer Gilles Mendel cultivates a collection seeded in elegant technicality and fluid emotion. “It’s the idea of using structured fabrics and adding an element of softness by using curved seams and intricate cut work,” says Mendel. “Each piece is an emotion.”

Hair:  To mirror this dance between tailored precision and soft, sloping curves, and to evoke a feeling of ethereal airiness, stylist Odile Gilbert fashions a voluminous hairstyle that revels in the organic, chaotic nature of mussed curls. “It’s all about volume — tons of volume — and a round, fluid shape. This look is very feminine.” says Gilbert, adding “It’s not feminine-frilly; rather it’s femininity with a modern twist.”

CHANEL Introduces Collection Noirs Obscurs

Ahead of her time as an arbiter of style and color authority, Mademoiselle Chanel recognized and revered the color black as a symbol of luxury, modernity, sophistication and seduction. Today, Peter Philips creates a tribute to black with an avant-garde collection of trend-defining eye, lip and nail shades, uncovering the many nuances and undertones of this iconic shade. While these statement-making tones are more daring than demure when worn together, they can easily achieve a quiet elegance when color is limited to either the eyes, lips or fingertips.
