La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser

I’m a huge La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Gelee Micellar Make-up Removal Gel fan! It really revolutionized my ‘before bedtime clean your face’ routine. Never tried the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser and I hear this cleanser is a favorite of Sorority Wars star Chelan Simmons.

When competing with 60 other girls to win a spot in the Delta house on Lifetime’s Sorority Wars, Chelan Simmons knew that clear skin was essential. Looking to keep her fair, sensitive skin glowing, she starts her beauty routine every day by washing with La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser: With a light, smooth texture and fragrance and preservative-free formula, the Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser gently removes makeup and residue without overdrying, making it perfect for dry, sensitive skin. Formulated with Glycerin and Thermal Spring Water, the creamy cleanser hydrates and soothes while also deeply cleaning your pores and removing even the most stubborn makeup.

Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser retails for $19.50 and is available at CVS locations nationwide and at www.laroche-posay.com

Best Face Cleansers and Makeup Removers

Cover Girl

Did you know that the first time I’ve ever tried any makeup from Cover Girl was during New York Fashion Week Spring 2010? I can already feel many of you are surprised. Well, growing up in Israel back in those days we didn’t have many options for makeup . It was a beauty brand I was not at all familiar with. Luckily, I can’t think of a better introduction to Cover Girl, now one of my favorite makeup lines, by Jake Bailey Cover Girl’s celebrity makeup artist. I met Jake at the CVS Reinventing Beauty Lounge back in September 2009, he did my makeup using all Cover Girl products and needless to say Marta was in love!

La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Gelee Micellar Make-up Removal Gel

I’m always on the look out for great makeup removers. I like the process of removing my makeup before bed easy, clean , and very simple. This is why I love La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Gelee Micellar Make-up Removal Gel, $24.50. It literally feels like water on your face, maybe because one of its ingredients is actually La Roche-Posay’s Thermal Spring Water? Skin feels fresh as soon as you apply this makeup remover on your face. It’s fragrance-free, not oily, and very simple to remove or wipe off. Which means, there isn’t a residue left after you apply. Do you know the feeling? Major plus!!  It felt gentle and didn’t irritate my skin. OK to remove eye makeup as well. And, it’s available at CVS *.

Lumene Sensitive Touch Eye Makeup Remover

I’ve been seeing great skincare brands at CVS lately and one of them is Lumene. I haven’t tried the whole range yet, but I did try the Lumene Sensitive Touch Eye Makeup Remover. It was very gentle on my eyes, wasn’t oily at all, and it’s fragrance-free (I’m a fragrance-free fanatic at times:). And lastly, it did what it was designed to do, it removed my eye makeup.

Lumene Sensitive Touch Eye Makeup Remover the description on www.lumene.com :

This gentle eye makeup remover gently and effectively removes water-soluble eye makeup. Its pH level is gentle on the eyes and makes it suitable for contact lens wearers too. In co-operation with Finnish Allergy- and Asthma Federation.

Lierac Paris Crème Mesolift & Lierac Paris Diopticrème Eye Cream

Wonder what Marta uses on her skin? Well, recently I’ve discovered Lierac Paris Crème Mesolift Anti-Aging Radiance Cream and Lierac Paris Diopticrème Age-Defense Cream eye cream. The face cream is super hydrating yet doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. It smells really fresh, a bit citrusy. And the Lierac eye cream penetrates into my skin quickly and it doesn’t leave white creamy residue under my eyes. Know what I’m talking about here? It’s when my eye cream doesn’t absorb into my skin fast it just sits over my skin, so when I sometimes forget to look I have funny white cream under my eyes. And, the good news Lierac Paris skincare products are available in CVS!!

Company description: Lierac Paris Crème Mesolift Anti-Aging Radiance Cream was inspired By Facial Mesotherapy, a technique developed in 1952 by French Doctor Michel Pistor involves injecting nutrients directly into the skin activating collagen production and lymphatic drainage. Backed by validated scientific research that confirms the impact of nutritional elements on skin metabolism, mesotherapy can deliver an undeniable benefit in facial rejuvenation through a technique called Mesolift. The laboratories at Lierac Paris have taken this technique and adapted it to a highly penetrating topical daily moisturizer called Crème Mésolift that’s non-invasive and with effective results.

Tracy Reese For Sally Hansen 2010 Spring Runway Nail Collection

During my time in NYC for Fashion Week Spring 2010 last week I stopped by the fabulous CVS & Robert Verdi lounge. The lounge was full of the latest hot new products at CVS. One of them was Sally Hansen latest HD nail color collection which I was absolutely in love with. The manicurist at the lounge applied Sally Hansen HD Nail Polish in Opulent Cloud: a gorgeous silver, with golden and some purple undertones. This shade is very chic and modern and the icing on the cake: it didn’t chip for  4 days!! I call it: “The Nail Polish That Doesn’t Chip”. It’s currently available at CVS, so go check it out!!

I took images below while I was getting my manicure at the CVS Robert Verdi Lounge in New York, a special event for beauty editors and beauty bloggers:
