Olivia Palermo Goes Darker Hair
MTV’s The City star Olivia Palermo was spotted recently with darker hair color (see right image below)! What happened to Olivia’s Jennifer Aniston-esqe or Gisele-esqe hair color, I wonder. Maybe her new light brown hair is something to do with fall:)
Anyone is missing Olivia Palermo’s honey blonde hair color?
How To Revive Your Hair This Fall
Harry Josh, stylist to the stars and John Frieda’s International Creative Consultant, took over Glamour’s guest editor page this past September to share his secrets on how to revive your hair and look this fall.
Amp Up Your Color!
“Making brunette hair a shade cooler or going honey blond all over instead of doing the usual highlights is enough to make people say, ‘You look great! What have you done?’ I just worked up Gisele’s shade, and it looks amazing.”

How To Get Scarlett Johannson’s Hairdo
I’m getting mixed comments on Scarlett Johansson’s hairdo At The Moet & Chandon Tribute To Cinema. Some, like myself love it, and some don’t. I thought to bring to you the scoop on how to get Scarlett’s hairdo, anyways, just in case you do want to try this look at home.
Celebrity hairdresser David Babaii traveled across the ocean to Tokyo, Japan to create this Red Carpet look for actress Scarlett Johannson at the Moet & Chandon “Tribute to Cinema” event on October 20, 2009.
The hair jewelry worn by Scarlett Johannson is DeBeers. Scarlett’s dress was Givenchy with Dior shoes.
To create this “power look” and accentuate her fire red dress, David Babaii took Scarlett Johansson’s long strawberry blonde hair and transformed her tresses into a dramatic side swept, short textured bob. After rough drying her locks with Hair Polish applied to damp hair, David loosely twirled large sections of hair and sprayed them with Bohemian Beach Spray, while finishing the drying process.
Redken Mineral Elixir Dazzling Smoothing Oil
I’m a sucker for soft hair and frizz-free hair. I just dicovered Mineral Elixir Dazzling Smoothing Oil by Redken which I spray on after I blow dry my hair straight to keep my hair glossy and silky. I also like to use it on days I don’t wash my hair to fresh up my hairdo. And, it smells amazing! Redken knows their stuff!:)
The description from Redken’s website:
Mineral Elixir Dazzling Smoothing: A glistening shine spray that provides very light conditioning and control with intense frizz-fighting power.
Replenishes and restores dense, dry, sensitized hair with dazzling shine. Ultra-smoothing mist delivers shea butter and ceramid to lock in moisture, help block humidity, smooth split ends, and provide intense frizz-fighting power. Hair is smooth and glistening with lustrous shine.
Scarlett Johansson At The Moet & Chandon Tribute To Cinema
I absolutely love Scarlett Johansson’s look at the Moet & Chandon “Tribute To Cinema”. The hairdo is old Hollywood glamour done to perfection (yet looks so effortless). I am also, intrigued by Scarlett’s super smoky cat eye. Definitely a wow factor! You know how much Marta loves the ‘wow factor’ lol:)
Halle Berry at the 6th Annual Keep a Child Alive
Halle Berry arrived with a short pixie hairdo to the 6th annual Keep a Child Alive and with a super hot dress. Halle’s dress looks a bit Herve Leger to me, and this is just my wild guess.
Anyways, let’s talk beauty guys: Who’s loving Halle Berry’s short haircut?

Inspiration: The look mirrors the Charlotte Ronson collection, which is inspired by a remake of 80’s style. The hair was created to evoke a fresh, young wispy look and a “just walked out of dance class at Julliard” look to play off her fabrics and bold designs.
How to get the hairdo:
Step 1: Prep the hair from root to tip with Advance Techniques Salon Volume Finishing Spray to enhance natural shine and create volume.
Hair Trends: 40s Inspired Faux Bob
New York Fashion Week Spring 2010 Hair Trends Report:
Designer: Costello Tagliapietra Spring 2010 Collection
Hair by: Sebastian Professional
Hair Trend: 40s inspired faux bob.
Inspiration: Costello Tagliapietra’s Spring ’10 beauty look is a seamless combination of elegance, youthfulness, natural beauty and romance. The hair, both feminine and fresh, is loosely inspired by the traditional roll style from the ‘40s with soft curls that sit just above the shoulder.
To put a modern twist on a ‘40s staple, Sebastian Professional lead stylist Thomas Dunkin recommends a method of building texture and shape with techniques that keep the hair looking soft, romantic and not too “done.” Finish with an elastic touchable texturizer or flexible shine spray to create a look that’s elegant yet playful. Here’s how to create your own ‘40s inspired faux bob:
1) Apply Sebastian Professional Texturizer to damp hair; distribute evenly throughout.
2) Blow hair out straight with a medium to large-sized round brush.
3) Spray hair with a flexible hairspray for added texture, section hair, curl it with a medium-sized barrel curling iron and set.
4) Take out pins, gently brush out the curls and then roll hair under, section by section, fastening it under at the neck with bobby pins.
5) Apply Microweb Fiber to hands and gently work through the front of the hair to create an imperfect, lived-in effect. Finish by misting with a strong-hold hairspray.

Lead Hair Stylist: International Creative Consultant Luigi Murenu for John Frieda
Hair Trend: slicked back ponytail
“It’s sharp, sleek, and super shiny,” hairstylist Luigi Murenu said. Murenu applied Kiehl’s Hair Gel to damp hair and then blow-dried it straight. He used a fine-tooth comb to make a deep side part and then slick it into a tight, low ponytail.
He flat ironed the tail and then smoothed over everything with John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Hair Serum. To finish off the ponytail, Murenu wrapped the base with S&M bondage tape.
