My recent purchase at Nordstrom shoe department just before I took off to NYC this week was MICHAEL Michael Kors Jamesport Sandal. I’m in love with these shoes! Total runway material!! But walking with these shoes 2 long blocks in New York City, and trying to party like a rock star after dinner took a toll on my feet and legs. I’ve been wanting to interview Nordstrom’s National Beauty Director Debbi Hartley-Triesch for quite some time now, so when I was asked to chat with her on the phone one day this month I was thrilled!
I’ve been always fascinated with the behind of scenes of the beauty world. I wanted to know how Nordstrom, which happens to be one of my favorite places to shop, go about picking and choosing the beauty products we see when we’re out shopping. When I go shopping at Nordstrom for clothes, makeup, and cosmetics I have a sense of confidence that Nordstrom experts picked the hottest products for me to choose from, and they are keeping me ahead of trends!

At the end of May, 2009, Redken hosted editors and bloggers at the Exchange to an up-close and personal look at the new Hair Files series. The new Create Curls video was debuted and Redken Media Marketing Senior Manager Corrie Rudin and Rodney Cutler explained why Redken is producing and promoting these videos and why it is so important to teach consumers how to style their own hair in-between salon visits. Guests were treated to a live performance by recording artist Toby Lightman as well!
