Clarins Spring 2010 Product Launches
I’m in love with the latest Clarins Spring 2010 product launches. Clarins was always my favorite skin care brand for years now and I didn’t quite realize how much my skin was missing it LOL.
Clarins Gentle Refiner Exfoliating Cream, $28: Very creamy exfoliator or face scrub . Smells amazing and is very comforting. I use this exfoliator once a week because the micro grains are a bit on the coarse side. My face feels super refreshed and smooth after use.
SK-II Cellumination Essence
I’m all about good skincare lately! I’m in line with my new year’s resolution (remember?) to properly wash my face before I go to bed and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. My recent skincare helper is SK-II Cellumination Essence $138.
This illuminating serum by SK-II is formulated to boost skin’s translucency and evenness of skin tone and give you that ‘Glow From Within” effect. Also contains SK-II’s signature ingredient Pitera which is a unique yeast fermentation rich in vitamins, amino acids, minerals and organic acids to enhance the skin’s natural rejuvenation process. This SK-II serum is very light and easily absorbs to skin. The result, happy skin in the morning and all day!

My love for the Christi Harris Brow System was instant. I recently even got a compliment from a brow expert I met in a spa on how great my brows looked. Really? Me? How to get Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Oscars 2010 makeup look by Molly R. Stern: Maggie is the muse of spring. Her Dries Van Noten gown is a swirl of bright colors that fades into white. For her makeup I wanted to bring out the color of her eyes with some depth while keeping with the brightness of her overall style.
We started off the look by refreshing the skin with Jurlique Rose Water spray. Then I prepped the skin with Shu Uemura red:juvenus vitalizing concentrate and lightly moisturized with La Mer moisturizing lotion.
For a flawless complexion I primed Maggie’s skin with COVERGIRL & Olay Simply Ageless Serum Primer (out in July 2010!!).

GET THE LOOK: Jennifer Garner was wearing CHANEL Beauté at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Jennifer’s makeup look was created by Makeup Artist Kate Lee.
Beauty Inspiration & The Look: “Jen’s dress was a perfect nude colour, and the beads were pink and silvery. The overall look was champagne and beige. With her pale skin and dark hair, it was my job to bring colour and radiance to the silhouette because everything else was quite monochromatic. I saw it as an excuse to break out the perfect lip shade.”
Beauty Tip: “I prepped the skin with CHANEL Hydramax + Active Serum and then CHANEL Sublimage Fluid Moisturizer, which leaves a velvety texture on the skin. On Jen’s eyes I used CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Kaska Beige. I liner her lids with CHANEL Long Lasting Eyeliner in Espresso, smudged it out, and used the dark burgundy shade from the quad along the lash line. I then used my favourite colour in the world, the beigey-taupey-lilac shade in the quad, in the socket line. I feathered it along the lash line as well, to blend the chocolate brown liner. I curled the lashes, an applied one coat of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir. On her cheeks I used Neutrogena a combination of Neutrogena Mineral Sheer Cheek Colours in Apricot, Sable, and Rare Rose. Finally, on the lips I used CHANEL Rouge Coco in Rouge Orage. I chose this shade because it has amazing staying power and incredible hydrating properties. It’s an intense rosey colour with a bronze shimmer – perfect or Jen’s full lips.”

Beauty Tip: “I prepped Kate’s skin with CHANEL Sublimage Fluid before applying her base, L’Oreal True Match Foundation in N-3. In the crease of her eyes I used the grey shade from the CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Blue Celestes. I applied the lightest silvery white shade under the brow bone, as well as under the lash line. The inside of her eyes were lined with Almay black eye pencil, and I finished the eyes with CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir. Finally, on her lips I used CHANEL Aqualumiere Sheer Colour Lipshine in Malta, a sheer subtle peach shade.”
