Redken Mineral Elixir Dazzling Smoothing Oil

I’m a sucker for soft hair and frizz-free hair. I just dicovered Mineral Elixir Dazzling Smoothing Oil by Redken which I spray on after I blow dry my hair straight to keep my hair glossy and silky. I also like to use it on days I don’t wash my hair to fresh up my hairdo. And, it smells amazing! Redken knows their stuff!:)

The description from Redken’s website:

Mineral Elixir Dazzling Smoothing: A glistening shine spray that provides very light conditioning and control with intense frizz-fighting power.

Replenishes and restores dense, dry, sensitized hair with dazzling shine. Ultra-smoothing mist delivers shea butter and ceramid to lock in moisture, help block humidity, smooth split ends, and provide intense frizz-fighting power. Hair is smooth and glistening with lustrous shine.

Walmart: You’re Beautiful For Less

Secret: Marta loves to shop in Walmart for beauty products! I know, some of you might be surprised. But I believe in life you need to mix and match. I like to mix expensive beauty products with some classic super affordable products.

Here are Marta’s picks:

Cover Girl lash blast Volume Blasting Mascara: I hear this mascara by Cover Girl is a total super star and is securing its place as a classic. It made my lashes this morning long and full in just seconds.

Scarlett Johansson At The Moet & Chandon Tribute To Cinema

I absolutely love Scarlett Johansson’s look at the Moet & Chandon “Tribute To Cinema”. The hairdo is old Hollywood glamour done to perfection (yet looks so effortless). I am also, intrigued by Scarlett’s super smoky cat eye. Definitely a wow factor! You know how much Marta loves the ‘wow factor’ lol:)

Gossip Girls Leighton Meester and Jessica Szohr Wear Reem Acra

Fashion Designer Reem Acra twittered this the other day: “Did you watch Gossip Girl last night? Both Leighton Meester and Jessica Szohr’s characters wore my gowns! They looked fabulous!”

Blake Lively At The 2009 Angel Ball in New York City

Blake Lively is looking gorgeous as usual at the 2009 Angel Ball in New York City.

I particularly love Blake Lively’s red lips. Two of my favorite lip glosses that come in my mind when I think of how to get Blake’s look are:

Lancôme Color Fever Gloss in Rouge Magnificence, $25.00

And, L’Oreal Paris Infallible Plumping Lipgloss in Plumped Red, around $12

Halloween Makeup Q&A With Luc Bouchard

ARTIST’S NAME: Luc B., MAC Senior Artist
LOCATION: New York City
STARTED 1984
ODD HABITS: Humming while doing makeup.
FUN FACTS: If there is a dog in the room, I ignore people in favour of the dog!

Q: What’s so special about Halloween?
A: Halloween is exhilarating makeup time! It’s the time of year when you can let all your alter egos come out! Whether your thing is drag, scary monsters or celebrity impersonations, just have fun!

Q: What are you planning to be for Halloween?
A: I don’t dress up! I just love watching all the action in the streets. I live in the East Village in New York, and the fun part is just watching everybody come out and play. Even if sometimes it’s hard to tell if it’s a Halloween look or just a colourful neighbour.

From villainous vamps to dolled-up demons, M∙A∙C Senior Artists Bianca Alexander, Luc Bouchard, Keri Blair, Sandy Joseph and Chantel Miller revel in the ghouls – and glamour – of Halloween

Q: What are the products you most often use during Halloween?
A: I would say I love MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer as a base. That way, you basically have a blank canvas and you can create anything you want. Also, all the MAC Pro Lipmix colours are great if you want very rich, creamy colours that will make a statement. Prep + Prime finishing powder can set anything into place and make it last all night.

Step-By-Step Instructions:

Georgia May Jagger The New Face of Rimmel London

You can’t get more ‘rock star’ material when it comes to Georgia May Jagger. Georgia is the beautiful daughter of supermodel Jerry Hall and Rolling Stone Mick Jagger (who I would love to meet one day, Marta is a huge fan). She appeared in advertisements for Hudson Jeans, on the cover of Vogue magazine, and now Georgia May Jagger is the new face of Rimmel London. What a great pick!

Rihanna On Her New Album Cover for Russian Roulette

Rihanna looks certainly bigger than life on her new album cover for her single “Russian Roulette“. Everything is to perfection with a bit of an edge. I like the highlights in her hair, a nice break from her usual black hair color. Expect, where is the rest of her clothes? Rihanna is a rock star after all so I guess it works!
