Giorgio Armani Beauty Fall 2009 Collection
Giorgio Armani Beauty’s NEW Fall 2009 Collection:
Giorgio Armani Beauty launches its Fall Collection, using subtle but distinct tones accentuating a deep smoky eye contrasted with a fresh luminous complexion and a muted, but intense lip color. Created by Giorgio Armani, the timeless color “Greige” has a new take on the smoky eye and is the new fall dress code for face.
The star product of the collection is the Manta Ray Eye Duo Palettes. Inspired by the precious and luxurious materials used in Giorgio Armani fashion accessories, the palettes are dressed with an exotic Manta Ray pattern. The selection of color harmonies inspired by nature offer depth and mystery to the eyes with subtle contours and highlights, $38.
How To Apply Lancôme Ink Artliner in Indigo Charm With Sandy Linter
On my recent trip to New York City I visited the Lancôme boutique on Upper West Side, which was a totally luxuriating (Marta just made this word up) experience. I love makeup and I love Lancôme so as you can tell it felt like heaven to me, lol. The icing on the cake was being introduced to Lancôme’s top celebrity makeup artist Sandy Linter, an industry icon. She’s worked on more celebrities and supermodels than any artist around. She was recently awarded an Elle Genius Award (check out the April 2009 issue of Elle!) and there’s a great interview with her in the April Allure that’s part of the gorgeous “Coming of Age” story featuring Cindy Crawford.
When chatting with Sandy, she told me she did makeup for Sigourney Weaver! Sandy also did the makeup charts for the Austin Powers movie. Yes, yes…cool stuff!
I was thrilled when Sandy Linter offered to makeover my eye makeup, particularly my eye liner. She told me I almost got it right however with my eyes being a bit roundish she suggested I change my eye liner application technique. She recommended Lancôme Ink Artliner in Indigo Charm and to go for a softer eye makeup look. She took off my black eye liner and gave me the following tips on how to apply Lancôme Ink Artliner in Indigo Charm:

Get The Look: Vera Farmiga at The Orphan Premiere
The night before the big Orphan premiere, Vera Farmiga visited the ARCONA facial studio in Santa Monica and received their signature Facial Contouring & Enzyme Peel – her skin glowed.
Vera Farmiga’s makeup look was created by celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow Inspired by Vera’s gorgeous ivory Versace gown and her beautiful glowing skin, Tina created a soft look using gold and peach tones, with a shot of orange on her lips.
Skin: Tina prepped Vera’s skin by first cleansing it with ARCONA’s Triad Pads. She then spritzed ARCONA’s Mineral Magic and applied ARCONA’s Peptide Hydrating Complex to hydrate her skin thoroughly. “I loved using ARCONA’s Mineral Magic on Vera’s skin. It gave it a nice luminescent quality!” said Tina.
Foundation: Because Vera’s skin had a natural glow, Tina kept the coverage to a minimum by using ARCONA’s Sunsations Mineral Makeup in Ivory Seychelles.
Cheeks: Tina used Tarte Cheek Stain in Tipsy to add light peach tones to her skin.

How To Get The Sophisticated & Tailored Look of Well-Suited With Prescriptives
The Fall 2009 Color Collection is “Well-Suited” at Prescriptives: Tailored menswear-inspired looks are showing up in many Fall fashion collections. Prescriptives supports this dramatic statement with Well-Suited, a Fall Color Collection that translates this edgy, yet feminine style into a range of sophisticated shades from tweedy browns to silky purples.
Prescriptives Director of Color Artistry Jillian Veran explains how to achieve the sophisticated and tailored look of Well-Suited: “We all love a good lip gloss, but there is something incredibly feminine about the bold statement of a lipstick…in this collection the look of a creamy nude lipstick is accentuated by a strong eye liner…create a sharp straight line or a smudgy, sexy look, but either way you will want to line the inside rim for extra drama.”

Khloe Kardashian Interviews With Marta Walsh
Last summer I had am amazing phone conversation with Khloe Kardashian. The interview was for Talking Makeup’s celebrity beauty section: www.beautyinterviews.com
Khloe Kardashian and I chatted about her experience on her role on the show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” and she even shared with me some of her best kept beauty secrets!
I would like to share with you my interview with Khloe Kardashian, just in case you’ve missed it last time.
Khloe Kardashian is the youngest of the three sisters, Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian, who co-owns DASH, a high-end women’s boutique, and SMOOCH, a children’s clothing store in Calabasas, California. You might also know Khloe from her role on the show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” which has quickly become an E! Entertainment fan favorite. In this interview Khloe talks about some of her beauty secrets: from her signature smokey eyes look to the lip gloss her and Kim Kardashian are obsessed about, her favorite city in the world, and future career plans.
Marta Walsh: How do you I keep your hair so beautiful?
Khloe Kardashian: I love Kerastase and all of their products. Once a week I use a deep conditioner on my hair by Kerastase because I get my hair done so much. I have naturally curly hair and I always blow it out.
MW: What are some of your favorite skincare products?
KK: I love Crème De La Mer. It’s a really thick moisturizer and it’s also good for your skin and body. And for soft moisturized lips I use The Lip Balm by La Mer also.
MW: Who came up with your signature smoky eyes look and what products do you use to achieve it?
KK: I don’t really know when we came up with the smoky eyes look, but we were doing the smoky eyes forever. What we like to do a lot is to fill underneath the eye with a green or purple eyeliner, something fun so it’s not so harsh. You can do smoky eyes with color, you don’t always have to use black. We use MAC eye shadows, because they blend so well. I also like using navy eye liner so it’s not so harsh as black. And it lasts forever. It’s fun to do smoky eyes, it always looks so sexy. In daytime you can use a brown and make it darker with a charcoal or a black, and it keeps all day
