Miley Cyrus at the 2010 Grammys

Hair Tutorial: Miley Cyrus’ sexy textured style at the 52nd Annual Grammys was a perfect rocker chic look that played off her Herve Leger mini bandage dress and emphasized her long, natural waves. “Miley has effortless style and taste,” said her stylist Scott Cunha, “and I always try to complement this by working with her natural hair texture, accentuating the waves and texture with a curling iron and a flat iron.”

To create the look, Cunha first applied Moroccanoil Treatment on damp hair for silky shine, smoothness and to eliminate frizz. He diffuser-dried her hair and then created a dual-textured look, first using a flat iron from the roots down, then a 11Ž4″ curling iron to wave the rest of the hair.

Jennifer Lopez at the 2010 Grammys: Hair Tutorial

GET THE LOOK:  Jennifer Lopez dazzled at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, wearing a dramatic silver Versace gown, and 70’s-inspired hair designed by stylist Robert Vetica. Volume and texture were the hallmarks of the all-one-length, below the shoulder look.

Vetica started by applying Moroccanoil Treatment on wet hair and blow-dried it smooth, creating a middle part using a large round brush for volume. He then used a 1″ curling iron, curling each section, and dragging the curled spirals down. He started in the back, working towards the front of the head and lifting her hair away from the face.

Carrie Underwood at the 2010 Grammys

BEST HAIRSTYLE: Carrie Underwood won Talking Makeup’s best hairstyle award for her gorgeous hair at the 2010 Grammys. I love the clean blonde hair color and the cut. I see  Jennifer Aniston back in the 90s.

Jennifer Lopez at the 2010 Grammys

BEST DRESSED: Jennifer Lopez rocked the Versace gown tonight at the 2010 Grammys . Not just the dress, JLO’s entire look was to perfection: the hairstyle and the makeup. I’m adding this Versace dress to Marta’s wish list!

CHANEL 2010 Spring/Summer Haute Couture Beauty

CHANEL 2010 SPRING/SUMMER HAUTE COUTURE BEAUTY: Get The Look and makeup tutorial.

Karl Lagerfeld gave me three key words: Neon Baroque, Chemical Pastels and Liquid Silver. For the lips I used the new Summer 2010 Rouge Allure Lipstick in Genial. This coral shade perfectly matched the Technicolor and Neon Baroque spirit Karl wanted for the makeup at this show.”- Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup.

Marta Walsh says: I love the CHANEL Spring/Summer 2010 makeup, particularly the coral lips and the silver nail polish. I also loving the grey and white highlights on model’s hair, and yes, the hairstyle.

CHANEL Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2010

STRAIGHT FROM PARIS: I would love one day to attend the CHANEL Haute Couture presentation in Paris. Meanwhile all I can do is admire from the distance. I have selected some of my favorites looks from the CHANEL collection to give you a sneak peek. BTW I love the hairstyle and the true coral lips seen on the runway models. The hairstyle? It’s a cross between Minnie Mouse and Hello Kitty. Better yet, I see an Asian influence, an Asian Doll perhaps, or the glamour of Shanghai. The fingerless gloves are so Karl Lagerfeld. The silver shoes add a bit of  a space-age element making the whole look very intriguing. And finally, can the skort (skirt plus shorts) make a comeback?

Julianne Moore Sundance 2010

GET THE LOOK: Love Julianne Moore’s winter proof, and I must add, gorgeous hairstyle at Sundance 2010

Thanks to hairstylist Stephen Lewis, who worked on Julianne Moore for a “Smooth and Sleek Sundance Style”, Talking Makeup has the breakdown on how to get the look:

“Julianne wanted a simple but sophisticated look for her press in Sundance. I applied Leonor Greyl Serum de Soie Sublimateur to her wet hair and low-dried her hair with a large round brush. It made her hair shiny and polished without looking greasy, and it held really well in the wet, snowy eather. For a finishing touch, I applied a small amount of Leonor Greyl Eclat Naturel on her ends. She looked great!”

Diane Kruger at the 2010 SAG Awards

GET THE LOOK: Nominee Diane Kruger’s glamorous asymmetrical Jason Wu gown (which BTW Marta loves Diane’s dress! Best Dressed for sure!) was the inspiration for the soft, romantic side-chignon that celebrity stylist Mark Townsend created for the 2010 SAG awards.

“I started by taking a small amount of Moroccanoil Treatment and finger combed it through Diane’s dry hair” explained Townsend. “The original Moroccanoil is super light-weight and absorbs right in, to give the hair amazing shine without weighing it down.

Jenna Fischer at the 2010 SAG Awards

GET THE LOOK: The Office’s Jenna Fischer looked beyond gorgeous on the red carpet at Saturday’s SAG Awards 2010. Jenna wore a purple, jeweled, strapless Marchesa gown and beautiful silver accessories. She had her hair pulled in a low, side bun. For makeup, she and her makeup artist Jennifer Pitt wanted to keep makeup fresh and natural looking, with an element of surprise. “Jenna likes to let her real skin show through,” said Jennifer. “With this colorful, glamorous dress, we felt a touch of drama to the eyes would be fun.”

The Breakdown: How to get Jenna’s Sultry Makeup Look at the 2010 SAG Awards

FACE: To keep her skin fresh looking, I started out with shu uemura’s Depsea Hydrabilty Moisturizing Emulsion. I then applied a bit of shu uemura’s UV Under Base Fluid on her cheek bones, under her eyes and on her brow bones. I wanted to take advantage of the product’s smoothing effect and the light-reflecting particles to give her skin a flawless finish. For her foundation, I used the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. They have the amazing ability to be used either for light-weight coverage. Peachy tones look great with Jenna’s skin and went really well with her purple dress, so I used shu uemura’s Glow On blush in M Peach 44.
